If any LA kid pulls one down from over Ricks’ head, the stadium is going to actually explode.
I was thinking Emery truck stick myself, but BTJ going up for one would be just as good.

BTJ is the correct answer. It's the perfect matchup
This. His physical build and his mentality catching the football make him the guy you want to constantly run at Ricks. He can win against him in a 50-50 play.

The RB to his side on run plays with the pads directly in his chin every time.
Not just them. Any TE or OT with Ricks in their sights needs to get a piece of him downfield on run plays. Run him to the sideline and pancake his arse every time you get a chance.

Ummm... we will be on Offense. We will line up in whatever formation we want.
The Defense will react if they want Ricks on, say, Boutte.
Even if we put BTJ outside or boundary where we think Ricks will be, they can put him wherever they want him. Hell, we might find a matchup with him that we want for a play we want to run but Ricks blitzes instead of covers.
The Good Guys will just line up and run their plays no matter who is in front of them.
I'd wager Ricks will get his share of opportunities to get burned without us going after him.
Though a play planned to take advantage of his weaknesses that is successful will feel extra sweet.

Call me crazy, but since Ricks is a defensive player, I'm pretty sure Bama can line him up against whichever receiver they choose. Crazy concept, I know.
If there is a rule out there that lets offenses lock in a DB match-up, let me know asap because I've got some great ideas for Denbrock.

Tell me you don't know anything about how football works, without saying it.
Do we now put receivers out wide to run routes in front of a DB who just happens to be out there?

I wish our first play was to line a walk on up against him and just donkey kick him straight in the dick

to me its still crazy when these guys transfer from sec school to sec shool. Maybe Im getting old but its just something growing up would never even be a thought
That’s because you used to have to site out a year. So nobody would do it. That and many kids now have no connection to the school they go to. Ricks came to LSU to be the star on a natty winning team. Whenever we went to shite, he had no reason to stay.

Boutte vs Ricks
The Xs and Os guys say that’s unlikely.
I’m not that guy, but they seem pretty convinced.

This is how stupid our fambase is. They think we dictate who they cover. Good god
I realize ricks just started playing last week and he had a good game. But we have one dumbass in here saying they never call his name. That's always been good where I come from, as a DB. Lol

Can you imagine being Ricks and being used to going up against our shitty arse offense when coach O was here the last two years? And now he’s got a lineup across from this beast we have created on offense right now. That motherfricker ain’t gonna know what hit him.

How could it take nearly 2 freaking pages for somebody to point this out???
Thank you, Damathe. From the OP I wanted to ask: "Isn't it the other way around?"

There's footage of BTJ burning Eli at practice last year.
