Everyone thought they'd get steamrolled.

We need dominoes and momentum to change the narrative.
What direction does Bama go if they win again? Up.
What direction if they lose? Definitely not up.
Only positive from a bama win would be if they have a mass exodus to the league by the players. Not sure if that'll happen.

They made it to the NC game ... again. Undefeated, with the Heisman Trophy winner.
Whether they win or lose tonight really doesn't matter. They're an elite team again this year. Everybody knows this, and has for a decade.
And they'll have a new OC next year-- and won't miss a beat.

Saban is aging, want him to go down as blowing it in his big games at the end like his last Natty loss two years ago. Bama fans will start calling for his retirement and wanting Dabo if he blows it in a few more big games

It’s not going to plummet, but it can’t hurt us for Bama to NOT win an NC.
Bama not having a NC for three years. The longest streak Saban has had at Alabama is still a good thing. Even if it doesn’t topple the dynasty.
It would be nice to point to 1 group of juniors at least who didn’t win a NC.

I'll always pull for an SEC team over any other conference, so Roll Tide.
The only time I don't pull for Bama is when LSU is playing them, and last year was a beauty, but that glory was short lived.

If you can rate the success of a year as a percentage, then winning the NC is 100%. If they lose, their rate of success will be 95-98%. I'd take that over 100%
