You are kidding me, right? High school players don't pick colleges based on how fans travel to away games.

I think LSU gets more out of playing Oklahoma or Clemson or Florida State because they are much bigger national games and because all those programs have something to lose if we beat them. Michigan has nothing to lose cause their program is down and trying to come up.

Michigan is 15-10 in the last two years which ranks them as having about the 50th best record in college football. And that comes in a weak conference.

If you think that demonstrates a real threat, you are about as uniformed as they come.
U. of Michigan 2015: 10-3 and destroyed Florida in the Citrus Bowl 41-7. Barely lost to Mich. St. that year.

Look, you can continue to try to spin stupidity any way you want. These types of pissing contests never turn out to be worth it, so I'll just admit it. You're right and I'm uniformed.

HOME & HOME

Michigan
Stanford
FSU
Clemson
Oklahoma
Texas
Notre Dame
USC

No particular order, Just give us 2 or 3 those. Home & Home. I don't care to travel to a neutral site, that stuff has ran its course with a lot of people I know.

LSU needs to give season ticket holders a reason to keep buying these over priced tickets. At this time the product of non conference games AT TIGER STADIUM isn't there.

Even if it's some years Home and Home with Kansas St, Iowa, NC St, Arizona St, Purdue, Kansas, Utah, Wyoming, Marshall, UNC, Okie St, Tulane (Superdome) or SMU ... Give those games to us. We are Finished with Furman, UAB, Troy, Jacksonville St, Western KY , Samford, Eastern Michigan, Kent St, Towson or Gilligan's Island.....

I'd like to see us play some of the higher profile teams that we haven't played before. We have UCLA scheduled in a few years, but it would also be great to play Michigan. Those are probably the two biggest names we haven't played, but I would also like to see us play Cal, Pitt, BYU (do we have them scheduled, also?) and probably Virginia and N.C. State. It would be great if we played UVa in a "neutral" site game here in DC. Northwestern could also be a decent game to see.

Other than the teams we haven't played before, I would also like to see us play Maryland home and home (so I could go to the game here), Stanford and maybe Clemson or Georgia Tech. I'm also looking forward to our upcoming games with Texas and don't we still have a home and home with Oklahoma that is supposed to happen eventually?

The players, douchenozzle. The players and the team travel for big games like that. You have a point that playing an Oklahoma or a Clemson might be a bigger game because they're ranked higher than Michigan at the moment, but to suggest we should only schedule teams in regions we recruit is pretty stupid.

You also keep harping on this. You're saying Texas is a better draw than Michigan right now? Sure, buddy.

Boston College, home and away.

Connecticut, @home.

Virginia, @home.

UCLA, home and away.
Sorry, but unsure if UCLA is already on the schedule...

Any of those teams would be great as long as they are in Tiger Stadium. The Superdome sucks! You are a mile from the field at every level, the echo is so damn annoying inside, and it only holds what 70,000?

'Over priced"

They aren't over priced when fans keep putting 100,000 in the stadium.

"The product of non conference games"

And what SEC team is bringing a better product? Bama? they have brought in for their fans to enjoy the likes of western Carolina, Western Kentucky, Chattanooga, Kent state, Florida Atlantic, and Georgia Southern. And every other SEC teams I can think of off the top my head does the same thing.

routinely LSU plays a top 10 strength of schedule. When you play in the SEC you don't really have to seek out elite competition to play outside of the SEC, but we do on occasion.

I really don't see what the beef is with our schedules when you compare them to schedules of other teams we are in direct competition with, but each to our own.

"Chevrolet" gets it....why can't more season ticket holders see this and voice their opinion to LSU ?

I'm Sure your not a season ticket holder or you might own upper deck Season Tickets with no Tradition fees, therefore Not really understanding this issue.

LSU non-conference opponents are pitiful ... don't really care who other schools chose to play .. I care what LSU does. I'm sick and tired of neutral site games. They could be played at LSU, and we chose to not schedule them in TS.

I'd like to see us play more in-state OOC games. If we're going to schedule tune up games against teams like Jacksonville State and Furman, we might as well keep the money in the state.

Schedule Southern and the other Louisiana HBCU's, Tech, ULL, and yes Tulane.

I know LSU does play in state games, but if we're going to schedule rent-a-wins for OOC games, why go outside the state at all?

Edit: This only refers to the cupcake games on the schedule. Of course, I'm all for the high profile non conference games that boost our SOS (Oregon, Wisconsin, ect)

While everyone concentrates on the BIG Teams I'd like to upgrade the other games with a mix of potential good teams and just bigger schools than Western Kentucky and the likes.

Colorado State
Wyoming
California
Memphis St
Stanford
Ga Tech

" not really understanding this issue."

The issue is not what you or I would like to pay to see whoever, but what you and I are willing to pay to see whoever. No one at LSU forces you to buy season tickets. You do that at your own free will.

While I understand, and agree, that I would rather see the Oregon and Wisconsin's of the world in Tiger Stadium, I understand that there are other considerations besides my wishes that are in play.

I have no idea of all the issues that may come into play when LSU makes their schedules. I can only assume it's a complicated issue that's not going to please everyone . I'm thinking LSU does what it can to please the most people that it can while not placing LSU in some type of competitive disadvantage with other teams in the SEC , but who knows.
