My top 3 in no particular order is Franklin, Kiffin, and freeze.
I'm not convinced on fickle. Dude has only been a head coach a cincy and its much easier to have your team get up for 1 game a year. Not sure he could do it every week in the SEC. Could be wrong.

Why? What has he done at OU except beat up on shitty teams during the regular season only to get his doors blown off in the playoffs?

If Jamey Chadwell isn't the first call you have to be crazy.
Followed by Napier and then Freeze.
As a fan of an opposing team, these are the realistic, non-delusional-homer hires that would worry me the most

James Franklin
No clue if we can get him, but he would check many boxes

Franklin. He’s one of the few on this list who’s proven it as a head coach at the P5 level. Don’t forget that Fickel did have a shot as interim at OSU and flamed out pretty hard. I wouldn’t judge him by that one season taking over for Urban, but it’s a concern in the back of my mind.
Franklin is also a proven recruiter at a place where it isn’t traditionally easy to recruit nationwide. As well as he’s doing at PSU, he would kill it here. And he’s been successful in the SEC at one of the hardest places to win across all of the FBS. If we are going purely on resume, his really stands out.
Personally, I don’t think we can get him unless he wants to prove he can win the SEC. That alone makes It worth reaching out.
Aranda and Napier are really good fallback plans. I would go with Aranda because he knows the program and at least has a little P5 head coaching experience. If he commits to making recruiting a priority for his staff, he could be a great head coach.

An Arkansas fan should know how risky flavor of the month lower-tier G5 hires can be moving up to the top of P5. The flame out rate is like 5 to 1.

Dana Hogerson. Ok at WV. Ok at Houston. Just needs some talent.

Who do I want, or who is available ????.....that's two separate questions.....

Kiffen
Im intrigued by Herm Edwards. I watched his team play Saturday. As limited as they are, the entire program is dialed in.
I always believed Edwards would be a better college than pro coach. He's a teacher of young men and has the pedigree to do well at LSU. But clearly, he's a reach. Just my 2 cents.
I love the guy, so Im biased.

Tom Herman is my darkhorse candidate. He's available and he won't come at a premium like other guys.
