Can I throw Jamie Howards name into the mix?

TIE: Dalton Hilliard, Jacob Hester, Micheal Brooks, Tommy Clapp.
Probably Cannon.. but, I didn't see him play.

Jamie Howard brought "back the Magic", Kracka. I liked him, he gave 100%, I thought. He'll never live down the stupid fricking play calling of the "Interception Game", however.

I hope you know I was being sarcastic. A girl I went to high school with dated him while at LSU, and he was a prick to the highest degree. But so are most STM graduates, so at least he didn't let me down. I have hated him ever since.

Billy Cannon... our only Heisman Trophy winner.

When we played STM in HS, I found them to be total pussies. They were talented just not tough. I, playing OT, basically whipped their entire defenses arse.
Jamie was a bit high on himself, but any jaded female is not a good gauge.

Defensively it was Gabe Northern or Eric Hill
Offensively Kevin Faulk or Charles Alexander

Hill better than Brooks????? uh, no.
Nothin but love for Gabe, but far from best defensive player.

Tommy Casanova, it could have been Cecil Collins if he wouldn't have been such a screw up
.

Tommy Cassanova is (I am pretty sure) LSU's only 3-time first team All American and he made numerous "all century" teams. I give him a slight nod over Cannon.
If you really only focus on one season, I think the best season in recent times was had by Josh Reed (Belitnikoff winner) and Russell's 2006 season was also very impressive (Manning Award / #1 pick).
