Even if they played only 1 year. Forget about stats. Just your opinion. The best football player. I say Bowe (Post surgery) but i am young.

If it was just 2 games then Cecil Collins hands down.

But to pick best LSU player ever that is hard. It is going to be a genreational thing.

I love Alan, but he is doesn't even hold the best o-lineman title outright (I call it tied with Andolsek).

Best player? Easy. Billy Cannon. Casanova is right up there as well. Josh Reed could get an honorable mention.

Gaynel Tinsley hands down. He couldn't be blocked one on one.

Pistol Pete. And it's really not close. He is the most revolutionary figure in all of basketball, arguably.

When you graduate from a school and that school will not allow another player to ever wear the number you wore, and this is the only number that can't be worn by any other player.....that is a real good sign that maybe, just maybe, he is the best player to ever play at that school.

I am just referring to Fball. basketball, Pistol hands down.

If people are going to bring in two, shaq would be next.

FWIW i bet this turns into a 5-10 person list before the 3rd page of the thread.

Pettit was great, no doubt. I lived on Bob Pettit Street while going to LSU. But LSU plays basketball in a building named the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
