In general Les likes upper classmen

I think it starts off with Ware and ends up being Hilliard at the end. Much like last year.

Needs to be Ware/Hilliard in the first half just wearing teams down. Then the faster combo of Blue/Ford against tired defenses in the second half.

Ware getting 3 and outs really wears down those defenses.

Ware and Hilliard will be yor set-up guys for Blue and Ford. With Mett dealing(if he is what is expected), you might see more of the "draw" game, esp. in the second half of games. We might be a little different style than what we've normally seen.

I think it depends on who we're playing. If the defense is big and slow, then probably Ford or Blue will get the most touches for that game. If the defense is small and fast then they will get punished by Ware and Hilliard until they quit.

This from a fat kid that never played the game and thus has no idea what it is like to be pounded by a running back.
Please never change Maxie. You are the essence of comic relief around here.

I know LSU will run by committee and probably play hot hand most of time but who will be listed as the #1?
Ware again?
Ware will be listed as the starter and will get significant reps. Ford's reps will be down as Hilliard's reps will be up. I strongly feel Hilliard will be the #1 back, at the end of the year, in both carries and yardage, though it may be a very slim edge.

Eventually I think kenny will take the load with blue and ford. Ware will be a great ball catching rb so if Mett checks down a lot ware maybe the 3rd down back

Hilliard, ford and blue. With ware getting touches along with Hill.

I agree. I love the power run game but would like to see more speed out there. Ford is legit and Blue showed he is the real deal as well. Not so much concerned with Hill at this point. He'll get his touches in time.

Get Copeland in great shape and down to 265 lbs and it will not matter. I like them all, and Hill might burst on the scene. Great to have 3-big guys and 2-smaller effective backs.

I am just so freaking pumped that we have a discussion and at least 5 names are competing for that number one spot and basically everyone would be semi happy with anyone of them being number 1 because they are all so freaking good.
I would put my money on Ware just because of seniority.
Or you might put your money on Ford because he started running for tough yards during the back half of the season and his average yards per carry is awesome.
Or you might go with Hilliard because he is a big bruiser back that has vision and is just basically bad arse.
Or you might go with Blue because all he did last year was improve every game.
Or you might go with Hill because he was suppose to be a beast out of high school and he looked to even possibly be the best during the spring game.
Oh and if all of the above go down with injury is there anyone here that wouldn't be happy to see Magee continue to look awesome like he did last year.
Hell even Tabari looked good in the spring game.
Not only will LSU have the best backfield in the country we might have the best two tandems in the country!

I don't think it will be exactly like last year. Power running game? yes. But look for the back with good hands to catch out of the backfield with the dump pass. That pass will be there all day with legitimate run and wide-out pass threats.

I'd really like to see us in the single wing, that way we can use two. Put Stampley in at slot for some formations

Spencer Ware needs to drop another 5-10 lbs. to even be relevant next season. He had zero explosiveness in the spring game.

that someone who separates themselves from the 'thundering herd' in the fall. we have a lot of talent at RB and if Ware comes in slimer and stronger you have to think he will be the man early on. what happens after that will be determined by the "hot hand" scenerio you mentioned. we are very, very deep at RB and if our oline is in sync we will be hurting people.
