Well, after much debate, I have decided to root for Bama. I thought about rooting for Florida, but just couldn't bring myself to do that.
One thing I don't understand is all this talk about how UF gives the SEC the best shot at a MNC. Are you trying to say that Saban doesn't know how to put a game plan together to win a MNC ? It is just amusing how at the beginning of the year, 99% of LSU fans said we would lose 4-5 games. Week after week we hear that we would get beat or crushed by the top teir teams in the SEC and would be upset by the lower teired ones and the OOC games. Week after week we have come to play and had a game plan to pull out the win. Have we crushed people like UF has, no. But have we had to, no. Bottom line is, we are undefeated, ranked #1 in the country, and still havn't won anything and that is what Saban will preach to the players.Hate him all you want, but he has changed the mindset of this team from last year and is a hell of a coach and game day planner. I believe Miles is the same way. I think your loss to UF and what has happened since is like our loss to LSU last year. Just could not recover.
With that said, I am more worried about Auburn than I am UF because they are the NEXT team on our schedule. This team has showed so far this year that they take it one game at a time unlike our fans.

Rooting for Florida to rout and embarrass Bama in the SECCG. Then looking for Florida to get owned in the NC game.
I hate both teams so I want both to lose.

I have to go with Florida....
I hate Florida when they play LSU, but I enjoy watching Tebow play.

No. Florida just has the better team.

I hope Florida wins to knock Bama out of the National Championship, and Florida then is a 1 loss team that is left out of the National Championship.
no chance that happens.

Alabama fans have a reason to be cocky, to wit: more than 20 years of football excellence.
not really in the last 20 years though.

Bama...I have moved past the Saban hating and I will pull for Bama to win it all. If Fla. wins that's cool too. I just want the NC to stay in the SEC as long as posible.

Hmmm, I think i remember UF losing to, uh, Ole Miss.
Dont forget, as good as UF has played the last 6 weeks, that Ole Miss game team is still in there somewhere.
Dont be shocked if you dont get your wish with UF, thats all.

The consensus among LSU fans posting in this thread is almost unanimous for Florida. I don't care if Tiger fans hate Alabama - what's funny about LSU's Alabama-hatin is Alabama doesn't share the hate or care about it like LSU does. 90% of this rivalry is solely in the minds of the LSU fans and family.
When Saban took the Alabama job he took the hottest seat in college football. Most of the LSU fans posting in this thread don't acknowledge or respect that. Failure [for Saban] at Alabama would have been a catastrophic embarrassment to him and his career. It was much easier for Saban to win early at LSU where there is no in-state recruiting rival of stature to worry about 365 days a year. In Alabama there are 2 major SEC powers fighting tooth and nail for every player and every scrap of press in the sports pages. LSU has created this "Saban-Alabama Rivalry" that only exists in the minds of LSU fans - evidence of it's own insecurity, which amuses me to no end.
To Saban's credit he took the deep abiding challenges any coach inherits at Alabama, used the positives to his advantage, and focused like a laser on coaching and recruiting - letting the giant footprint of Alabamas tradition work to his advantage instead of allowing it to hang over his head. Saban knew he was being hired to win it all - nothing less. That's the standard at Alabama and he knew it very, very, well. To step into a job with that much pressure takes strong world class ability, character, and confidence.
Florida is a good team built with the best skill players in the country. The obvious difference in the game will be Alabama's youth and lack of depth - disadvantages that could easily hurt it's chances - but the game will hinge on the different football philosophies of the coaches and their abilities to instill them in their teams and, ultimately, impose them on the game. Alabama will try to make it a fist-fight in the trenches negating Florida's speed and offensive firepower - taking time off the clock and closing the window of offensive opportunities for Florida. Time of possession will be key in this game unless Florida gets a sizable early lead. Alabama's defense will play inspired and schematically perfect for the problems Florida's offense presents. Win or lose this will be a bruising affair for both teams and victory will come with great physical pain. The old adage "Defense wins Championships" is true. Alabama has always followed that philosophy and Nick Saban is deelpy rooted in defensive football religion. This will be a classic struggle between defense and offense.
But - none of that matters at all. All that matters for now is winning the Iron Bowl. It's a shame LSU doesn't have a test of manhood like the IB.

Which would I rather take-cyanide or arsenic?

Florida, no doubt. At least Florida has been able to back up their talk with their play on the field over the last 15 years.

Eh, maybe. Not sure it's quite that one sided. The 'Bama fans on here were a lot more obnoxious before they beat us this year actually. Last year and leading up to this year's game I noticed more "we have your coach", "Miles is another Larry Coker" type threads....The fact that the fans do seem better now, coupled with my hate of Urban Myer has me undecided on who to pull for.

First off I hate both of them equally.
Second, I guess I will be less happy if the bammers win cause that douche from bama named Paul finebaum will spin it for weeks.
Third, I can't believe we have fallen so far so fast and Bama has climbed so far so fast.
Fourth, I'm more concerned about FSU beating Florida than I am Alabama.
Fifth, I still think Alabama is nowhere near the number one team in the nation. That hat goes to Oklahoma or Texas or <gag> USCw![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanghead.gif)

Florida,
I would rather hear about Teblow for a month than Saban.
