TCU sucks and couldn’t beat a mid level SEC team.

No, but their mouthpiece of ESPN did, and considering they had one loss Bama ranked ahead of them in the first poll sort of shows their lack of faith in the Frogs. Every week you’d hear how TCU has their toughest stretch…blah blah blah.

This is nothing but conspiracy talk. TCU was ranked behind bama because they had beaten no one, and bama's loss was to an undefeated team by a couple of points, and clearly looked like the better team. If what you're saying were actually true, they could have easily put bama ahead of TCU after their loss to Kansas State. But they didn't, did they?

And how is TCU's "lack of respect" working out for them right now? Still think they deserve it?

You might want to check in on how good the Big XII actually was this year, but you might not want to interfere with your ignorance and bias.

After this game at the time of playing, TCU will have played 8 ranked teams compared to UGA’s 5 (6 if you count FCS ranked Samford), with three of those games closing out UGA’s season.

It's truly hilarious that you call me ignorant, when you just proved that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Go and look at TCU's schedule and see how many of those teams are still ranked.

They beat then #18 Oklahoma... Oklahoma went 6-7.

They beat then #19 Kansas. Kansas went 6-7.

They beat then #8 Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State went 7-6.

They beat a Texas team that has no business being ranked, and probably won't be ranked when the final poll comes out, as they lost their fifth game of the year. They beat a 7-6 SMU team by 8 points. They beat a 6-7 Baylor team by 1 point.

Their best win was against Kansas State, whom lost their QB during that game, but then went on to lose to them in their conference championship game.

Only 5 teams in the Big 12 finished above .500, with the other five all finishing below .500, and of the winning records, one has 6 losses and two have 5. The second best team, record-wise, who actually won the conference, had 4 losses and got embarrassed by Alabama in the bowl game just like TCU is getting embarrassed by Georgia as I type this.

Yeah, pal, you were on the right track about ignorance involving the Big 12. You just pointed the finger at the wrong person.

Who were all the tough teams that Ohio St was beating?

What does Ohio State have to do with TCU? They were ranked behind the frogs. Ohio State and TCU both backed in because they got help.

quote:

TCU had 3 turnovers too. Maybe Michigan should play better and they would've won

...Uh... Yeah. That's the point. If they had played better they would have won. But they gave the game away. Having 3 turnovers is not the same as 3 turnovers that directly led to 3 touchdowns being scored/taken away. Michigan made the mistakes and got the outcome they deserved for it. But if you're TCU, and you're looking for a pat on the back for winning that game, you're asking us to pretend that we didn't see Michigan gift wrap that game for them.

Who earned it more than them?

Why are you inventing a competition of "who earned it more"? There isn't a rule in place that says any team in the playoff has to deserve respect. As I said before, TCU and Ohio State both backed in to the playoff. It wasn't because they earned respect, it was because the committee was left with no other practical choice. There is a difference between saying a team "deserves" to be in the playoff based on the other teams behind them being less deserving, and saying that said team deserves respect. Most people, myself included, were not impressed with them at any point, and the reasons why are being thoroughly exposed as we speak.

Not a 2-loss Bama.

UGA was the better team, obviously, and probably wins that game 8 out of 10 times. TCU had opportunities early but missed them and shot themselves in the foot over and over, and then the game was out of hand.

TCU absolutely deserved to be there, though. They beat Michigan, a team that destroyed that Ohio State team that found a way to lose against this dominant UGA team.

Until the big 12 learns how to play even a semblance of good defense there is no such thing as one of its members “deserves” to play in the national championship game. TCU total defense ranked 95th in the nation.

The game last night was an embarrassment for the selection committee, the big 12, and TCU. Simply because a team goes undefeated or with only one loss, that doesn’t signify that they are the best team available.

I will concede that, while the Big XII, “looked good” on paper all year with rankings, they certainly were embarrassed in the bowls. The conference went 2-7, and that’s with TCU going 1-1.

You complained that the committee was looking for a reason to keep TCU out, by stating that they had a 1 loss Bama ranked ahead of an undefeated TCU. So why would they have had a problem putting a 2 loss Bama ahead of a 1 loss TCU, if the goal was to keep TCU out? You aren't making sense, and it's quite obvious you aren't trying to be objective.

You think TCU, who just lost by 58 points, would win 2 out of 10 games against Georgia? With how many players missing the bus for Georgia?

There is no way to smooth talk a 58 point loss with "they had opportunities early". TCU beat Michigan because Michigan spotted them three touchdowns (two given up, and one taken from themselves) with horrendous mistakes. TCU was extremely fortunate to get help to even be in the playoffs without winning their conference, and they were equally fortunate to get the help from Michigan. Georgia exposed what TCU really is when they aren't either playing mediocre teams, or getting tons of help.
