I don't know all the names and I don't know how much each brings to the table, but the thing is that so far as I can tell, there's not a Boone Pickens or a Phil Knight. There may be other people who don't sit on the Executive Committee or the Board who have influence, but I don't know who they would be.

So collectively, they can all force Miles to be fired, but unless Jimbo or Chip Kelly is available, there may not be one person who can force consensus on a replacement. Which is going to give Joe Alleva more influence over the final choice.

The LSU BOS is completely incompetent and highly apathetic to the Miles situation.

In fairness to the Board of Supervisors, they may be concerned about other things. Like, you know, the University part of the University.

Which leaves, of course, LSU President King Alexander as the only other entity that can reign in Alleva and keep him in check - except when you realize that Alexander is from Cal State, has zero ties to LSU or Louisiana, and has only been at LSU for two years. He has no idea what's going on, which is why he's giving Alleva unfettered control of this process.

Precisely.

I don't know specifics, but he runs the most successful law firm in Alexandria. I understand that doesn't seem that impressive, but from what I understand that firm got in on the ground floor with a lot of the oil development of central La and does very very well.

Does Jim Bernhard give a shite about LSU football?

That dude swims in hundreds of millions of dollars like Scrooge McDuck.

Just the guys from Shreveport could each write that $15M and never miss a beat. I have heard some crazy $ stories about each of them and I believe most of them.

Ben Bordelon is Boysie Bollinger's grandson. Boysie just sold his stuff to Chouest for like 900 million.

These guys don't have to be the money . They have to be the brains. Fortunately most of these guys and gals are both. Most of them Bleed Purple and Gold more than any on this site . We are in good hands here.....

Do wish we still had Richard Gill all up in the middle of this .
