I'm going to get bashed for this but my family n I went to bama game in like 2006 I think? When we beat them in ot with td pass to dwayne bowe I believe. They were very cool fans to us. The whole game we were yelling back and forth but when they lost they weren't sore losers. Maybe they changed since ole nicky came around though

Penn State and Nebraska by a mile.

I would said LSU, Penn State, Texas A&M and Nebraska are all up there.

I agree that PSU has great fans, but basing them off of a rare bowl matchup doesn't tell much. You gotta believe that if Penn State had just beaten a rival like Michigan or Ohio State they would be giving them crap after the game.
Case in Point

so loyal to mediocrity to the point its stupid
How about the fact that win or lose (mostly lose) they back their team nomatter what. Isn't that what being a fan is all about
Not being loyal because your team isn't an elite team every year not only exposes you, but defines bandwagon

Prolly Oklahoma. I would have said LSU until the last two years.
ETA: And I don't just judge by size and enthusiasm during boom times--I judge by loyalty. My brother and his friends start every year optimistically, stick with the team throughout the tough seasons, and don't spend most of their time bashing coaches and players.

UCLA fans surprise me. They're very seriuos about playing tough, hard nosed football which isn't your typical pac10 brand. They also hate USC more then anything else.

Yeah that's going to change this year IMO... Be prepared to see the bandwagoners jump back on board once we win 10+

Nebraska by a country mile!
Have been there a couple of times and they are great. Know the game and are not blinded by red.
First time through was on business and went by the stadium. Wlaked into the trophy room and some guys working there behind the desk. The Heisman room was closed. Told them i was from Baton Rouge and after a few minutes of looking around the old guy hollers you wonna see something? I said sure. Unlocks the doors to the room and tells me to let him know when I was done!

Based on my very limited interaction (so take it with a grain of salt) with Miami fans, they're absolutely terrible.
I find USCe's fanbase overrated.

[quote]When the Cornhuskers play at home in Memorial Stadium, the stadium holds more people than the third-largest city in Nebraska.
They currently hold the record for the most consecutive sold out home games, which celebrated its 304th sellout on November 21, 2009 when the Huskers played host to the Kansas State Wildcats for the Big 12 North Crown.
The sellout streak dates back to November 3, 1962 during Bob Devaney's first season at Nebraska. quote]
(Per Wikipedia) I lived in NE for a year and a half, and believe me, there is not much else to do on a Saturday.
