I brought that to someone’s attention yesterday. When he whiffed at a first strike he kinda wound his shoulder as to put it back in place. Wouldn’t surprise me if he has surgery in off season to tighten it up.

I don't like the current lineup at all.

It's baseball. He will come alive at right time.

Worst case of moving white is they pitch around Crews and he gets a free base.

Bingo. You still would not advise walking Crews unless their are two outs. White (and Travinski) will still be coming to the plate if Crews gets on.

I'm not sure Travinski isn't a bigger threat than White at the moment. I like throwing Morgan in between Crews and White - he has a high OBP and is a lefty.

This! Dude was hitting over .500 over the last 18 games and people are acting like he's in a slump over one fuggin game.

Dugas is in a slump. Morgan is in a slump.
White is NOT an issue.

Monday morning QBing is fun and the purpose of the message boards, so with that said...

It sucks he struck out with the bases loaded but I’m never mad at the run producers on the team being aggressive in trying to produce runs. Sometimes that means you swing at bad pitches.

You usually don't, but when you have a guy like White it is a little disconcerting. In his first AB they were praising him for making sure to get a base hit when he had 2 strikes by shortening his swing and putting the barrel on the ball.

I missed a chunk of the game yesterday dealing with the kids, but the 2 strikeouts that I saw had him swinging for the fences with an uppercut swing on a ball that was rising (I'm sure he was expecting a breaking ball). He's a great contact hitter, especially for a power swinger, he may have been able to salvage both of those with check swings or foul tips.

I may be talking out of my arse but Tommy seems a little too excited at the plate. He needs to take more pitches. Pitching coaches have the book on him now and he has to be expecting a lot of low and away, up and in and just plain junk. Take some balls and make them throw strikes.

Morgan also needs to stop swinging for the fences. He would go back to the top.

The old "I missed the game but I'm gonna bitch anyway".

Go watch his last month and come back to me with your expert critique.

Scouting report is out on him. Off speed first pitch, elevated fastball with 2 strikes.
The idea that the "scouting report is out on him" because he went 1-5 with 2 strikeouts in the second game of the regional is hilarious. It took teams until yesterday to figure that out?

Second of all, he swung through first pitch fast balls down the middle on both strike outs. He crushes breaking stuff that's left over the plate. He just had a bad game trying to do too much. There is no "Scouting report" for the best RBI man in the country.

IMHO he got caught up in a what sounded like a crazy environment. crowd was about to blow up. dude was too jacked up.

repetitions will calm those nerves. he will come through for this team.

Moving White back won’t help Crews. It’s a shame Dugas has been in his slump because our best lineup would be Dugas Crews White Trav. I just don’t see how we can keep Dugas in the lineup with the AB’s he’s been having. I’m not sure Morgan could hit leadoff right now either the way he’s trying to pull everything.

The old, I can't comprehend what I read, so I am going to critique the response anyway.

I clearly only spoke about the 2 strikeouts that I watched. Was I wrong, did he not strike out swinging at 2 pitches that were up and out of the zone?

He has been chasing high FBs out of the zone for the last month. It’s not just a coincidence Crews, White, and Morgan have been striking out more than they did earlier in the season.

Just feels like he is trying to pull everything when he made his name pushing the ball to RF. Wish he would go back to that mentality, but he won't slump for long. Good hitters will find a way, and he is up there with the best!

I don’t care where they bat White, I just want Travinski behind him so they cannot walk him.

The first strikeout was bases loaded with less than 2 outs he’s looking to hit a fly ball in that situation
