Nothing burger. His brother already stated he's had a ton of reps already and he's just resting some.

No, no, no, this is LSU football, not BK. If you boys don't expect some one to be out due to injury or suspension, where have you been the last oh 15 years or so?

Can't imagine why a suspension would keep him from at least practicing.
Maybe not with first or second team but usually a suspended player still practices.

Has to be some sort of precautionary thing about an nagging injury or something.

Extremely troubling. Par for the course for a kelly team.

Have you tried Motrin? I've heard good things.

I would love to see why you think that. Lmao. Stick to talking about football and don’t start acting like you know about hand to hand combat. He’s a pussy and so are you.

not really. Our top 3 are really good. The rest haven’t proved capability…yet

And I for one want my very experienced, all conference caliber linebacker who is coming off injury to take a day off if he feels the need

Fatigue leads to injuries. Take care of yourself young man. There is zero reason to stress body in Fall camp for proven players. This isn’t 1985. These guys are in shape.

because one is a keyboard blowhard and one is an elite, soon to be professional football playing LB.

I would love to see what you think that. Tiger Ryno loves smashing keyboard warriors like yourself. He’d smack you around like the little sissy you are

Andeson is replaceable. Whit Weeks is not

Anderson was our most consistent and dependable receiver last year outside of Taylor. We may have people that can do what he did, but he already has chemistry with and the trust of Nuss and knows the system. Minimizing him as “replaceable” is insulting to him

First, he’s not injured.

That's good news because he's the most important piece of the defense.

Second, he’s not the key to our defense. He’s a very good player, without whom we’d be somewhat worse, but that can be said of several starters. We have capable depth at LB.

Disagree. You don't recognize his importance.

That’s four very experienced studs for a position group that usually has two on the field. We will probably have three of these on the field in our base but only because Perkins is so athletic they are playing him in a hybrid safety role. But that brings safeties into the depth discussion, at least for that position, and then you can use Perkins for backup for the other LBs.

You don’t think the two Weeks, Key and Perkins are experienced? Are they not good players?

How many snaps has Perkins had here? I honestly don’t know.

100? Less than a 100?

West Weeks is a backup and Keye has played 200 snaps. The freshmen are exciting but again;

Proper “depth” = experience + talent

The position is fine as a healthy unit but if you are asking for 60 snaps in a game from someone other than Whit or Perkins you’re going to be in a bit of trouble

If you recall, at SEC media days, BK told us that Whit and Perk would be on pitch counts at practice.

Weird how no one mentions this in these practice reports when one of them is inevitably out or working to the side every 1/3 day.

I think Keys played a lot of snaps last year, and West Weeks is a good backup. Obviously it's a step back to your backups, but it's not as though we can't play good defense with those two.

Who on the defense, if lost, would be a bigger impact than Weeks?
