Which would some of you HONESTLY prefer?

A) 10-3, good recruiting class, and probably a new OC.
B) 8-5, losing committed recruits, coaching staff obliterated.
Just checking because it seems that many on the Rant would actually prefer "B".

No contest......10-3...actually 11-1 regular season and 13-1 after beating FLA in SEC championship game and winning the BCS Championship....

If we actually beat Arky and then win the bowl game...and Les Miles cleans house on the offensive side...
...then ya...I will give Miles another year.
I was a big supporter of Miles...but have lost alot of faith in him as far as being an Elite coach. I still doubt he's an Elite coach...which is what LSU deserves.
I wonder how many people truly believe Les Miles is an "Elite" coach on the National level.

Can't believe this is even being asked.

I can...it's reasonable to ask since their are so many nagatigers and rantards here who act like 8-5 is a good thing so long as we clean slate the coaching staff.

Have you looked at the posts on this board? Some of these clowns would probably want to take away wins just to get Miles shite-canned. Unbelievable. This place is absolutely f-ing toxic.

Don't care whether ESPN, CBS, Joe Sixpack from Nebraska or anyone thinks miles is "elite". Most people already thought he was an idiot before last week, even when he was winning almost every game. Despite the public opinion that he was an idiot somehow he managed to continue to bring in great recruiting classes. Just win. Get rid of Crowton and I think we're easily back to 10-2 or better.

A but if he loses to Ark, B.
Its time to put up or shut up.
His arse is on the line.

just check the michael ford redshirt thread. the ranters dont want LSU to win, they would much prefer LSU to lose so they can come on here and complain. all that matters is that they be proved "right".

A beats my 8-4 pre season prediction (9-4 with bowl); I'll take it.

B.
Particularly if it ensures a better season next year and a better future and no firing next offseason (since he'd be gone) and no loss of recruits in the 2011 monster class.

if a loss to ARk would get Miles out, then yes
He is bleeding LSU dry

I would. You lose two games now and get a better coach who would elevate us to more than two wins that Les would have fricked up.
Short term loss, but it turns into a long term gain.

Who's to say that a new coach won't come in and coach our talent to 13-1, 12-2, etc.? A more likely scenario would be:
A) Get a new OC and go 9-3 or 10-2 and keep our recruits.
B) Clean house and go 11-1 but lose a few recruits.
I'll take B considering our recruiting will take a hit anyway with another 8-5 or 9-4 season.
