We lose to Bama in a close game and finish the season 11-1 or we beat Bama but lose to Georgia/Florida to finish 12-1?

So far, it seems most hypotheticals regarding a one-loss SEC team to also make the playoffs are about us and Bama so I'm curious which one y'all think favors us.

I think a one loss LSU will be in the playoffs so beating Bama is better but it won't happen if LSU goes conservative on offense like the second half vs Auburn.

If i had to chose. It would be satisfying to lose to bama during the season and come back and eliminate their asses from the playoffs in our own mulligan game.

If we beat Bama and then lose to who ever in the SEC championship we are in if they take two SEC teams.
I can't see how they could ignore a late season win and take the team that lost.
Now having said this....if they didn't want two SEC teams they could leave both uninvited to the party.

First off, the scenario where LSU does not lose. If I had to pick out of your choices, I would much rather beat #2 Bama in and play in the SECCG.

Beating Bama on the road and winning out to win the West, then losing to Florida in a rematch at the SEC Championship game would lock out Alabama.... or so it seems.
That would leave Clemson, Ohio St./Penn St.winner, Florida, and .....
undefeated Baylor?,or 1 loss LSU.
Otherwise, Bama has to lose to Auburn to not get in.
But there is a lot of football to be played between now and then.

I'd rather beat bama by at least 14 pts, cruising and enjoying the 4th qrtr, watching the lil sawed off napoleon throw his temper tantrums, throwing his headset on the field stomping and screaming, and then throw all his players under the bus in the postgame presser.

Followed by LSU completely realizing that a national championship is entirely possible if they can keep playing with the same preparation and execution and intensity. Winning out and knocking off Clemson and Ohio State en route to the chip.

That wouldn't completely make me feel better about Alabama, but, it would definitely take the edge off about what happened in Jan 2012.

I don’t like any thread where we talk about losing.
