I pull for him now. But I hated the Lakers and how Shaq plowed over opponents during their 3 peat. I liked the big guy, but hated LA. Rooting for him was tough. Plain and simple I don't like the LA Lakers.

This is easily the saddest and most pitiful thread on the rant in awhile.

The only reason why I semi rooted for the lakers was because of shaq. But now, hell no.

I don't really pull against any former LSU player, even when they play for a team I don't like I still want them to do well and succeed.

I just can't believe anyone would dislike Shaq. The greatest ambassador LSU has ever had, one of the greatest basketball players to play in the NBA and a damn fine person as well.

Why? He has been kind of a bust, but if that is the case why isn't David LeFluer(sp?) on anyone's list.

I don't hate Green personally, but this went above "liking" his old coach. Even when he clarified it, he never changed his original statement, which was he was going to pull for Saban over LSU when they played Bama. I know he has a relationship with his coach, but when that supercedes your allegience to your alma mater, most fans won't take kindly to it....and IMO shouldn't.

I don't get the statement that Shaq is arrogant. He's just a big guy that never took life or himself too seriously. I think he is funny and has been a great ambassador for LSU.

So Ryan Clark and Robert Royal this week on CH 4 NOLA said that Nick Saban was the reason for the success that LSU is having sending players to the NFL.

Ya'll don't pull for them either? just saying

I would agree with this. Nic built LSU up. Les is maintaining or continuing what he took over. Les and Nic BOTH deserve credit. I think some people only think they can give credit to one man.

All this "Nick Love" from former players flies in the face of conventional wisdom. I guess winning does make a difference.

I've always found it hard to pull for Paul Byrd. The guy just has that douche feel about him.

Jamarcus, after he held out on the NFL deal just to get more money, I lost a lot of respect for him. Yea he can throw a ball far, but he cant hit the open man.

Because he plays for the Bucs. I don't want him to fail personally. I want him to go to a different team and succeed wildly. But as long as he's with the Bucs, I can't pull for him.

I don't pull for a specific pro team, so I missed that one. Have to say, my son and I went to the Bucs camp after he was drafted and we both wore our NC gear. He was cool and came straight over to us after camp to sign stuff. I pull for any current LSU player, not the specific team.

thats not why he held out, try to learn a little about the situation before you make a fool out of yourself. Al Davis was trying to take out clauses that every single #1 pick has had for about 20 years (most 1st rounders get them now)
