Which one of the young dbs gets the Jermaine burton assignment?

Burton is def bama’s most explosive wideout. He runs good routes, can burn you deep and has strong hands. It’s tuff that Denver is deep in the doghouse because he actually played burton very well as a true freshmen. However, with him not in the picture who do y’all feel we deploy to cover burton?

I don’t think zone is a good idea with a bunch of inexperienced corners. That’s asking for blown coverage and missed assignments. You gotta let young dbs plays fast

Some form of zone has to be ran Saturday to keep Milroe from running all over us and prevent him from being able to throw the deep ball which he is best at. We have to keep everything in front of us

As we have done a lot but less than half the time we will switch from a 2 high safety zone to man to man with safety help, depending on the down and distance. On obvious passing situations, I hope we play man and bring pressure and make Milroe beat us throwing under pressure. There will be open opportunities for Alabama. Our job will be to keep them from cashing in.

Perkins is fast enough but that would be far from the best use of his talent.

You can play fast in zone. Don't expect to see a lot of man this game.

The DBs are going to get burned either way. At least in zone you make Milroe beat you with his arm. If you play man he will just run all over you

Man up. Burton is a key factor for sure. The Freshman will have to grow up fast.

We play man, too, bubba. And I expect to play more man now that we have such inexperienced DBs. They’ll get help over the top on Burton, I expect.
