he meant a significant lead, as in 4 touchdowns against Troy. I never really felt like we were going to lose the La. Tech game.

Nice dirty hit though

Btw, you could take anyone of these games and the Georgia came and it could have been losses for LSU.
I am not that guy who believes in everything being negative, but I always want to point to these games(all 4 of them) when someone goes the complete other way and wants to say how close we were to greatness last year with a break against UF or Bama.
We could have very easily lost 2 or 3 more games.

La Tech. No doubt. I took my Dad, who lives out of state to his first and only LSU game that day. He was less than impressed.

. BTW in that game the receivers route running was equally as atrocious as JL's throwing.
I completely disagree. Lee overthrew 4-5 WIDE OPEN touchdowns. Tech's DB's couldn't stay within 5 yards

You either weren't at the game or didn't notice if you were; the coaches were constantly on the receivers for not finishing their routes and breaking off too early. Lee sucked big time, but so did most of the receivers.

the receivers were still creating huge separation down the field with Lee overthrowing them by 10-15 yards.

He also tried to kill Tolliver

La Tech: It was my son & daughter n laws first game in Tiger Stadium. They are Tech grads but both love LSU & had on LSU shirts & hats. At half time my daughter n law was barking like a bulldog at a few guys around us. She is very entertaining & the people around us were amused. We were all relieved when LSU won. I wanted a blowout & a dominant performance, it was extremely discouraging.

We're running the ball all over them, but then we'd throw 3 straight passes (to wide open receivers) and kill the drive.

maybe i am completely misguided but i still say that game was to get Lee prepaired for the next game. at least that is what i think the coaches were going for.

Troy. A team like that should not be the greatest comeback in LSU history

troy always plays teams tough.

should we lose? hell no. but every year(at least for a while) troy was upsetting teams.

they are not that bad. embarrassing? well, yes. but if you don't know that troy plays tough then you don't watch football.

The La. Tech game was hard as hell to watch. It was the first time I felt like changing the channel. The team just did not care at all. Didn't play at all.

I agree and I think that says something about last year's coaching staff.

La Tech no doubt, Miss State has beaten some good teams lately, and Troy went to a bowl game that year. But let's go way back even though most of you can only focus on Miles time here for me the worst losses have been:

UAB- Saban's punk arse
Miami of Ohio 87 or 88 can't remember exact year
Southern Miss- Curly
Tulane- the week before LSU beat Bowden 55-21
