Which game is more important to Bama? LSU or Auburn?

Which one do you think the team/coaches wants to win more? While Auburn is the historical rival and probably more important to the fans because of proximity and inbreeding, I think Bama wants to beat LSU more than any other team because of the bad blood with the history of the coaches and players. And that is apparent with where they put their bye week.

JMHO.

For Saban, it has always been LSU. His wife hated it when they lost to us.

But I think for Alabama fans in general, it's Auburn.

Auburn...LSU is an after thought...they know LSU is their biotch. Auburn has actually beaten Bama recently

Auburn since they actually lose that one on occasion.

How many more shitty moral victory threads do you plan to make?

Neither.

See 2011 and 2017.

Bama losing either of these games is meaningless.

Not saying they want to win one more or less than the other, they just know if they lose it isn't a big deal.

In a season with only 1 bye week, NO TEAM WOULD EVER PUT THEIR BYE WEEK IN WEEK 11.

Dumb statement.

What are you smoking that makes you think Alabama is more focused on beating LSU than Auburn? Besides the entire Iron Bowl history, Auburn has actually beaten them and stopped them from winning SEC and National Titles.

I don't know about the players and coaches. But as a Bama fan I may dislike LSU but I respect the program. I hate Auburn and have no respect for a football program as to where it's entire existence revolves around what they accomplish against Bama. It's all they got.

A point on the Alabama-Auburn rivalry I’m not sure LSU fans can relate. LSU does have a bitter in state rival that divides the state fan base. Sure, other Louisiana schools have their followers, but they are not your bitter rival. In Alabama, your allegiance for one or the other is instilled at a very young age. So through the years, there is the daily, 365 days a year rivalry between you and your classmates, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members. For Bama fans, this does not happen with LSU. LSU is a huge game every year, but just not as big as AU, and for many years not as big as Tennessee. For many, LSU is still #3, others now have you #2, but the vast majority still put AU #1. Saban and recruiting have put a different slant on the game, but nowhere near enough to replace AU. SEC West and CFP implications are always a factor in the LSU game as well.

Auburn all day long. That shite lives with u every single stinking freakin day.
Whether or not it doesn't hurt u in the national title picture has zero, zero to do with it.

The day of the iron bowl u don't even think of the national championship. It does not matter. Only that game matters. Frick the national championship.

No disrespect at all to LSU or ole miss or whoever but the iron bowl is everything. Seriously, it's just barely a notch below the national championship. Without an instate rival there is no way to understand it.

This! LSU is just a good game against a tough, respected opponent. We talk trash back at you guys but its not hatred like it is with Aubs.

Agree with OP. Bama puts more resources into beating us than any other team, compiling staff with LA ties, recruiting LA kids, etc. Fans may want to beat AU more but Saban knows LSU has the potential to be his biggest obstacle to a championship.

for Saban, its LSU no doubt. Every single move Bama makes as a program is geared towards beating LSU. He understands the potential that LSU has because hes the one that started it.
