The ’67–’71 LSU logo is the GOAT, and it’s not even close in my opinion.

Tiger head from helmets, not really close IMO. Toonces is universally derided for a reason.

For whatever reason the leaders at LSU have always had it in their heads that people won’t recognize a logo as LSU’s unless LSU is in big bold letters. LSU is a big enough brand that this tiger head would be recognized by everyone.
The geaux font LSU looks ridiculous in a score box on TV when ESPN or whoever already types out LSU next to the logo.

55-67 and 88-02 are my personal favorites. I don't hate the current "minimalist" logo either. It's much better than either toonces and it looks good/clean on apparel and gear.
