No doubt it’s BK. It’s going to take 1-2 years to upend this culture of quitting that Kelly instilled
BK took the team to Atlanta the following year after O left

Mason Smith signed after O was fired, no?

Regardless of which was worse, I think we are in a better position with Labe walking in the door than with BK after the O firing.
Lane has done more with less since his Bama stint. We should be able to reset quicker than that transition

BK no question. The only difference is the portal is more prevalent now and the money is there to make this rebuild quicker.

That's a fact and it's what matters

They both left it in shambles.

I would say O because of his last 3 recruiting classes. Its tough to fault them on paper as they were all top 6 classes. We did get a few extraordinary players, but the depth needed to sustain a program was non-existent and resulted in the 39 scholarship issue.
If Kelly didn't have the luxury of the portal, we would be in even worse shape today. Once Denbrock left, we had absolute horrible player development under him, especially on the O-line and Secondary. Campbell and Jones were outliers.
From a team locker room perspective, Kelly was worse by a mile. If he stays thru the end of the season, I feel all of November would have resembled the second half of the A&M game. As bad as O was at the management aspect, the team still fought like hell.

O and its not even close. In fact he left the program in the worst shape of any LSU Coach ever!
Posted on 12/28/25 at 5:04 pm to BowDownToLSU
O, but only because we nipped the BK problem in the bud before it got too bad
