also ULL looked fricking good last night. the fact that someone wrote an article complaining about people not seeing that is pretty funny to me

This is what doesn't make sense to me. They're clearly a very good team and just beat the premier program in the state. Everyone I know is well aware that ULL is good and has a solid program. Yet the writer isn't satisfied because of a few idiots on the Tiger Rant, apparently... I guess I just don't get it.

I agree. Not every ULL Fan is like that. But a good vocal portion is. At first i read about it on here, and didn't think anything of it. Then I actually witnessed it from some ULL fans/students i know, and it doesn't make sense. During football season, they were actively rooting for the teams that played against LSU, especially Alabama. It just strikes me that it is based more on jealousy.

Shouldn't be a problem. They have a shite team again this year. They always do.

You're absolutely right. I know some people like that too. It's interesting, to say the least. Never really understood where it came from.

Cajuns are my team because that's where I went to school and grew up in Lafayette. I guess I missed out on whatever is suppose to make me hate LSU though.

Funny and true story.

The people who tailgate next to us at Cajun football games come every week decked out in Alabama gear and have an Alabama tent. I mean they are decked out in Bama.

They don't go into the games. They just sit in their tent and watch the Alabama game out there every weekend. It's bizarre.

People like that writer are the type of fans I hate. Who cares if another teams fans don't give you credit. Why should we as fans seek validation from another fan base?

Bingo.

A message board for the other team probably isn't the best place to seek validation.

Lots of people gave ULL props in the game thread.

Most of us quietly wish Cajuns success when not playing LSU.

Exactly, I wish them well. Let them get a regional of their own. That win was wayy more important for them than it would have been for us.

You keep saying "we" a lot. What number is on your jersey? I want to watch you play the rest of the season. Fans get pretty arrogant over a game in which they have no control over the outcome.

Are you really a gorilla? Can you post pictures of you posting? That would be incredible and I'd like to see more of that.

The rules for Louisiana teams playing LSU brought to you by WaveFan.

1. It is a meaningless midweek game that proves nothing; unless LSU wins in which case it proves they are the better team.
2. LSU never pitches a conference "weekend pitcher"; even if they do.
3. The other team always pitches their "Ace"; even if they don't.
4. LSU plays these games only to find combos for the post season, not to win; no other team does this.
5. This is a "big game" for the other team, much more important than conference play or post season play; even if it isn't.

What number did you wear in football last season? Might have to watch you play
