That's probably one of the biggest takeaways, and was one of the things that made Aranda so good.

Seriously, what changed? We were constantly getting beat on crossing routes and never made a change. We had zero answers for the misdirection run plays.

On offense they never did anything to help with the blitzing that UCLA never let up. No different type of run plays when running up the middle didn't work. No screen passes to the RBs.

Absolutely nothing changed from one half to the other. Totally out coached.

Yep. Absolutely no adjustments anywhere. It was almost like our coordinators had never coached a game as coordinators before...

They got the running game started and by started I mean they ran the same run up the middle 3 times.

Same old shite.
Hire Joe Brady and force him to hire an experienced play calling DC.

That one draw play we ran was laughably bad.

We came out and ran the ball. The interception Max through really messed things up.

An idiot HC with two very green coordinators turns out is a bad combination

Only adjustment I saw on offense is that they finally realized that the safeties were playing off the line of scrimmage anywhere from 10-15 yards downfield and we could hit the slot with 5-7 yards hitch passes in the flat on 1st and 2nd down.. took them a whole half to see it and figure something out… was a good suggestion to use the ref for interference on the Boutte TD pass play though..LoL

Peetz and Jones’ inexperience was exposed last night. That’s for sure. Their initial game plan looked good but once UCLA started attacking what LSU was trying to do, it was a route.

Those guys may turn out to be great coaches but this is why programs like LSU should hire coordinators with skins on the wall.

This is such a great point. LSU shouldn't be a place where first time coordinators go to hone their craft before they reach their destination. LSU should be the destination.

This isn't McNeese State. We're talking about LSU.
