No, I didint get confused on where the game is being played
Will be visiting an older relative that weekend.
Any good places to catch the game that wont just be a complete Gator bar? Im thinking Ale House might be the ticket

Your older relatives house.
Seriously, UF fans are trashy and the combination of an LSU fan in their territory + alcohol, could be dangerous.

Drive 1 1/2 hours south to Orlandeaux and watch the view-in at one of two LSU Alumni locations. Worth it.
Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar - 7480 W. Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL
Froggers Grill & Bar - 5770 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy (in Old Town) Kissimmee, FL

Why did you feel the need to add in that they were older?

In Gainesville?
Just watch it at your relative’s house or if in a hotel watch in your room.

Watch at your relative's house/domicile.

Gainesville is awful. You picked a bad weekend to visit if planning to watch the game in public.

I would just watch it wherever you are staying. It's not like it's being played in Gainesville with other LSU fans around. I doubt there will be many Tigers in Gainesville out watching the game, so it sounds like it would be a pretty bad time.

Sorry, most of us LSU fans in Gainesville will be going to BR for the game.
Stay away from midtown, downtown and chain restaurants. If you really want to go out, possibly try First Magnitude Brewery. Should be more laid back and great beer.

Prepare to get ragged by UF fans that you went the wrong city. I'd just drive to Orlando and watch it w/ alumni group, or buy your elder family member a new TV for $200.
