Just got the news that I got my ticket for the Peach Bowl. Booked the hotel and all. As I am a broke LSU Student, I would like establish an inquiry as to where a baw can park for little (or no) cost near Mercedes Benz Stadium. Not getting robbed is not a necessity but would be an added bonus.

ETA: Also for those of you who went Saturday, do I need to pay for parking in advance or can I pay there?

Plenty of options but we parked in the Gulch lot for SECCG. Passes are $46 on the stadium website. We got in and out very easily and it is a huge tailgating lot.

For the SECCG, I parked on the outskirts of Atlanta and took MARTA in to the stadium. The place I parked at was free for 24 hours. You have to pay $2 for a card, but then it's only $5 more for a round trip right near the stadium. That seemed better than dealing with more expensive lots.

Traffic sucks in Atlanta. Especially after games. Keep your car at your hotel and Uber or Lyft.

Leave your car at the hotel. Get on MARTA at Arts Center Station which is only two blocks down on 15th. I think MARTA costs about $3.75(?) each way.

It's $2.50 each way, but you also have to buy a card for $2 in order to use it. Worth it to avoid the headaches of parking near the stadium, the MARTA train I was on after the game yesterday was full of LSU fans with the same idea.

I found a place via ParkWhiz for $12 that is .4 miles from MBD. 278 Garnett St. SW. Was easy to get in. Even easier to get out.

While this is undoubtedly the quickest and easiest way to go, I’d suggest getting off at either Peachtree Center Station or Five Points Station and walk to the stadium from there. You’ll get to see some cool street vendors, Skyview ferris wheel, Centennial Olympic Park, and the College Football Hall of Fame will all be on the way. Your walk will still be under a mile, but what’s the rush?

If you still want to go straight to the stadium, your station is Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center Station.

We parked at Morris Brown College yesterday, $20 and was about a half mile walk to the stadium. Was a few minutes walk away from the Ten Bar

I was going to suggest this. Park away and take transit in. Best way to be cheap in the larger cities, you don't have to deal with game day traffic as much either.
