A lot of the restaurants down there are catered towards tourists and the food is terrible.

What are you talking about?!

This 100% incorrect.. to the OP, there are a ton of incredible restaurants downtown. Depends on what you’re in the mood for.

Mandina’s
Turtle soup with sherry.
Canal Street at Cortez, corner bar restaurant that’s been there forever. Very popular with locals
Everything on menu is good.
You can ride the red trolley going towards Cemetaries or take Uber.

Central grocery on Decatur street. Muffuletta was invented there and is still the best anywhere.

Joey Ks on Magazine Street at Seventh. Another great locals spot. Take Uber

Tomorrow for lunch you can get into :

Domenica
Compere Lapin
Meril
Emerils
Seaworthy
Sobu
Sylvain
Luke
Brennan’s
Mr Bs
Borgne
May pop
Red gravy

And that’s just on open table

National championship fans are scooping up reservations: myth

More like a face mask, particularly if Clemson fans are like BAMA fans.

Take the streetcar to Canal Street Bistro for breakfast or brunch.

It's across the side street from Schoen's funeral home on the cemetery side of the funeral home.
