louisiana waited 42 years for the saints to win the super bowl.

lsu first game in 1893.
lsu first n.c in 1958. (65years)
second n.c. in 2003. (45years)
third n.c. in 2007. (4years)

expected next n.c. (every year)

LSU ended the 2014 season with 761 victories, the 12th most in Division I FBS NCAA history, and the 4th most of any SEC team, behind only Alabama (850), Tennessee (811), and Georgia (777). The Tigers also have the 11th highest winning percentage among teams with at least 1,000 games played.

LSU has won three National Championships in 1958, 2003 and 2007. LSU won the BCS National Championship in 2004 (2003 season) with a 21–14 win over Oklahoma in the Nokia Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, and the 2008 BCS National Championship Game (2007 season) versus the Ohio State Buckeyes with a 38–24 score, thus becoming the first team since the advent of the BCS to win multiple BCS national titles.

You should constantly be getting better and building towards at least playing in a national championship game.

This team is not doing that, and seems to get worse and worse as the season goes on.

There's nothing about Les' strategies or what he got out of the players that gives me confidence that anything will change next year or going forward.

Did you not get the memo?

We aren't in it for titles anymore. Reasonable seasons for reasonable cost is now the mantra.

Heard the same in 2008 and 2009.

OP you are not allowed to use perspective on the rant. You are clearly ignoring the FACT that our great state produces the most elite football talent in the country. If you can't produce a NC every 4-5 years then your arse is gone and we are hiring Bill Belichick

Lsu didn't really invest in sports prior to 2000. Whenever you have the highest paid staff in college football , 1 of the best states for recruiting, and top facilities you should at least be playing meaningful games in November .

I'm guessing beefense downvoted your post, but I agree 100%. I guess the truth hurts for some people. They must have been hella pissed when they found out Vader was Luke's father

We are just shooting for being Bowl eligible. You want anything more than that then you are really unrealistic.

Forget about NC, cfp and Bama, we are getting blown out by middle of the pack Arky and OM and struggle against the likes of easterm michigan and syracuse. I'd like to see some impatience in fixing such a disastrous situation.

Seriously, do you watch the games? If so, do you actually enjoy yourself? Do you somehow not get disgusted by all the 3-and-outs, all of the penalties, the decline as the season goes on? The absolutely inept offense?

How does this not disgust you?

I know they say a win is a win, but even when we win it's frustrating as hell to watch these teams, and it has been for quite some time.

I enjoyed the auburn an UF games. We're you there? Western Kentucky was fun as well, I don't mind sitting in the rain, I actually liked it.

Of course the tamu game was awesome. Good atmosphere that night.

I agree wins and defense are so meh. Stats are what get the people going!! If we can't get Belichick, I think Sean Payton would be a nice match

Why do people think people critical of miles expect a championship every year? Is it really that hard to believe that we just want a competent offense, better communication, better clock management and to not get ran off the field 3 games a year. We can lose three games every year but we should never lose 3 games by an average of 17 points with the talent we have. Again, we don't need championships every year. That's absurd. I think most of us "Miles Bashers" would like for him to right the ship but are really tired of the constant problems that plague this team loaded with NFL talent. It's that simple.

I was thinking the same exact thing.

I felt like back then we were actually in WORSE shape...................and then 2010 and 2011 happened. Miles can get it done....................but its clear he needs a veteran team and quarterback to do so. Luckily for us, there ain't too many juniors leaving off this team, and Harris is gonna have time to actually develop till he's a senior.............which also means our next QB will have to sit and wait his turn and not be thrown in the fire before he's ready.

I am graduating from graduate level LSu this year.

Until now i sorta have felt anxious that we had this window to win a championship while i was in school

Now i just want to win a few more in my life.

I don't know if Les can get us over the hump. If not next year i doubt ever again.
