Hasn't pitched for Arkansas since July 4th. Don't see him on any injury list and don't see him being called up.

Anyone?

Right he's been back with the team for awhile but has not pitched. Cant find anything on when he pitches next though.

I see they’ve played 6 games since he was reactivated. Maybe they were told to rest him and prepare to be called up to the next level? The team site is silent. And to think he started that Futures game.

Was looking last night cause it’s the first time we are able to go all summer and it’s showing him scheduled to pitch tonight. Definitely going to watch.

Looks like he's at the top of the MLB prospect list right now.

Not rare for a team to rest superstar rookie pitchers the 2nd half of the season. Just stretching the load adjustment over a longer period of time to save his arm

Oh you didn’t hear? Jay found a loophole in the rules and was able to get Kade to come back to LSU for another year.

It’s hard to wrap our minds around it considering how amazing he’s been, but dude was literally a couple of weeks from winning the CWS this time last year. I’d imagine they slow him down a bit for the rest of this season. Either add a day between starts, lower his pitch count per start, etc…

He’s already the most valuable asset in their entire organization—they are gonna be super careful with him while also trying to put him in the best position to win a starting job in their rotation coming out of next spring training. And they may even be conservative with that and not call him up until May or June (for team control reasons as much as anything ).

Or they may call him up in September to give him a start or 2 in the bigs this year with a limited pitch count to see how handles it. Who knows? But they likely already have a plan for him and it’s one that they feel like is in both his and the organization’s long term best interests. My guess is it will be pretty conservative, though.

He either pitches today or tomorrow. Go to milb.com. Click on schedule. Then AA. Look for his team and you will see the pitching matchups.

Edit: he pitches today at 7pm

And while we are discussing recent LSU pitchers, how about Chase Shores? It seems like he’s progressing pretty well and could be promoted soon.

Walks are a little too much and he's not really dominating at Single A to warrant a promotion. He does average a strikeout per inning so there is a positive. Im sure Lester will have his usual bullshite spin on Shores.

He flew home after the ball star game for a few days and threw a bullpen at K9 in Covington.
