I think eye test and how we win will play a factor. If (and it's unlikely) we roll through Hoover in dominant fashion we could sneak in as an 8.
But realistically 10-14.

Directly into the Stanley Cup Finals.

Does it help LSU that much to win the tourney or make the championship game? Most ppl seem to think they will host a regional now, maybe lock one up with one or two wins. No shot at hosting a super. Would it be better to have the extra days to rest up? I don't have a feeling one way or another I can see both arguments, just throwing it out there. What do ya"ll think?

I think it means we won't be "relegated" to the Southland Conference...

I think you mean no shot at a top 8 seed. You can host a super if you win your regional and are a higher overall seed than the winner of the regional you're paired with.

Hey, I am leaving for Hoover tomorrow and will stay as long as LSU is playing. But I just cannot fathom that we have enough pitching to play a minimum of 5 games in 6 days and come out on top.

I know that happened the year Stony Brook made a superregional. LSU wasn't expected to host that year but they did!
I seem to remember one year when one of the national top seeds went 2-and-BBQ in their own regional! Can someone help me with my recollection?

It was UCLA they were the number 1 seed

One season we got lucky when the national seed/host, TCU, lost to Baylor, so Baylor traveled to LSU.

I believe even if we could've swept Auburn and then ran through the SEC Tournament, won it, and had 40 wins we still would not get a top 8 because the committee is not giving a top 8 to a 5th sec team, not a chance in hell.

Do you remember the year UCLA went 0-2 in the tourney, as a #1 seed?
