Simon above Webster???
I left TM off because he was more of a hybrid rover vs a true corner.
Mills was tough for me to rate, as he played a lot of safety. Collins was more of the true corner, but he played his best on a pretty bad D in 13 and 14.

I mean - that could be a result of Simon being more recent. Simon was extremely underrated when he was here because he was on the field with super super stars. Honestly, he was similar to greedy in that he was tall and had a lot of range but he was a more polished CB too.

Nah haha. As a pure cover corner I’d put Mo ahead of Pat personally
THIS. I think people forget just how great Mo really was during his time at LSU
1.Mo
2.Peterson
3.Webster

Wait What?
Peterson at the bottom?
Claiborne ahead of Peterson?

as good as Greedy was, I admit I don't put him in the same company as Peterson, Tre White, Mo, etc.
Maybe it's because Greedy didn't have game-changing plays or return kicks/punts like Peterson, Mo, and Mathieu.
I admit that's just optics, because a true shutdown corner can have boring games by not having any balls thrown their way. I just remember the others more because of big turnovers and big kick returns.

You’re correct, the lack of respect Webster gets is ridiculous. He’s the best cover man LSU has ever had, Peterson was more athletic and when he put his mind to it could shut down the best of the best but Webster came out and actually did that ever week. He also took the ball away, what separates great corners is they don’t just break passes up they make the Int and nobody did this like Corey Webster. He holds the SEC record for pass breakups in a season and has two seasons with more INTs than any other corner on all these lists. Ppl putting Simon or Mo Claiborne ahead of Webster either didn’t see him play or are just biased about the 2011 team. Mo Claiborne wouldn’t have started on the 03 team.

# 6 overall wouldn't have started on a team with a second rounder and a fourth rounder?
Keep in mind those guys had an insane pass rush that year

I don’t believe he would have, he left as an underclassman and as an underclassman he wouldn’t have played in front of those 2 guys. As far as pass rush it was pretty much the same (2003, 44 sacks) (2011, 39 sacks) but the 2011 team played much more shell coverage and 03 played way more zero coverage so the corners were asked to do different things in the 2 defenses. I do think Claiborne was better than TD but in noway was he as good as Webster. Him being drafted #6 overall can’t be held over Webster because Webster had a far better NFL career plus the op said this was college based.

Tory James and Denard Walker
These two guys never get mentioned.
James suffered a catastrophic knee injury in his rookie year (mid 90's surgical outlook for this injury was shite btw), and still went on to collect 39 career interceptions in an 11 year NFL career. Dude was a baller, and probably a better corner than anyone on these lists except Peterson.

Fulton outperformed greedy this year. This is freaking rediculous.
How? People forget that teams rarely went Greedys way. Fulton was thrown at much more. Fans see Fulton making plays that he is out playing in reality Greedy is shutting shite down. Dude is going to be a freak in the league.
