Your list is bad and you should feel bad

Remember TM7 COULD cover 1-1, he was just more disruptive being free to make plays.

1. Peterson
2. Webster
3. Claiborne
4. White
5. Mathieu

ETA: this is just 2000’s. I know we’ve had some great ones in the past but this is since I’ve been watching.

Brain fart, there were some great DBs during the dark ages who are forgotten including our own Corey Raymond, Anthony Marshall, Ray Adams and Rodney Young.

The amazing thing about Hookfin is that he had really good cover skills,
but absolutely no ball skills. He had so many passes caught on him when
he was right on his man and could have easily made an interception if he had just
turned around

Travis Daniels locked down the other half of the field as well. Webster was a better college corner but it wasn't by far at all. Daniels was a blanket with legs.

And Randall Gay was nickel/CB3 stuck behind them both. He went undrafted after not being a full-time starter, but still played his way into a solid 8-year NFL career which included 2 Super Bowl rings with 2 different teams. (Who Dat!)

Modern era only (obviously not including TM as a pure corner):

1. Webster
2. Peterson
3. Chevis
4. White
5. Daniels
6. Claiborne
7. Greedy
8. Zenon
9. Gay
10. Simon

Greedy isnt top 10. He isn't better than fulton. He had a break out year last year with some big plays against bad teams and some being in good position against bad throws or bad reads.

Greedy is very hyped because he has a cool name that announcers made the most out of when he did get turnovers.

His media reputation helped him get away with quite a bit of holding this year (as much was said by 1 play by play guy).

Time will tell, but there are players in the NFL from LSU right now that will be on rosters longer.

I get why you say this, but Greedy is just a true shutdown corner. These are hard to find these days. He's pretty good.

I just don't think he was as big of a play maker as PP7 or Tre White.

He covered and shutdown WRs with the best of them.
