None of that is true. We could have had Fisher with the same contract last year. There was talk on this board of the same contract with the same terms. LSU didn't want to give him 10 years and $75M guaranteed. A&M was. I think A&M was desperate and overpaid.

At the end of the day, A&M has a better HC and I think LSU will be looking for one in a few years. However, I agree with LSU's decision not to give Jimbo a guaranteed 10-year contract. That's not good business.

Cluster frick at the end of 2015.

That was the time.

The delay (on F. King and Jindahl caused) not only put the spotlight on the issues administratively but allowed FSU to jack the price up and give Jimbo a reason to say no in 2016.

At the time LSU was negotiating with him and his agent, he "riding high."

Agent really pushed the limit and played Herman off Fisher.

They had him but F King nixed that deal, did not want to pay Miles buyout and Sexton would have fleeced LSU for more and it would have been a yearly thing with success.

I don't think Fisher is worth that kind of money yet.

Jimbo sucks. Glad LSU did not get that whiny coach.

Does anyone believe that Jimbo will be satisfied with $7.5m for the next 10 years? Was he ever satisfied with his contracts at FSU? There will be more drama in the future.

Who cares? He was the offense Coordinator at LSU several years ago. In regular games he played wide open. In big games he played not to lose. I am glad we didn't take him!

LSU wasn't stupid enough to give Jimbo a guaranteed, 10 year, 75 million dollar contract.

There's that.
