Meh LSU has a pretty delusional fan base in it's own right.

"Gerry DiNardo laid the foundation for Saban to win."

"Anyone could've come in and resurrected LSU football."

I think they believe they are correct to the same extent that Al Gore thinks he invented the internet and is worthy of his nobel prize. The ability to self-decieve oneself is so very real - and Algore and Albama are at the head of this deceptive class.

Algore = Albama ---> coincidence? - I think not

Funny you bring this up, just today a Bama fan on another board I was talking to....

Les Miles is the biggest idiot of a coach I've ever seen.

I'm in as much shock about people saying LSU will win more than 7 games this year, just as I was when I heard everyone picking Hawaii to beat Georgia!!

Who's left on their team? Nobody...
Who's leading their team? Nobody...
Who's their coach? The worst decision maker EVER.

You can go ahead and name off 10 people but I've never heard of those losers.

I shite you not he was 100% serious and argued with me for about 2 pages. Most delusional tard I've ever ran into.

Are you saying he didn't? He got Kevin Faulk, that changed everything for LSU in Louisiana recruiting.

Im saying I lived in NOLA for the last 2 years of the DiNardo era and he was absolutely hated by your fan base. Now he's the savior that laid the groundwork for Saban, funny isn't it?

He laid the in-state recruiting grounds for Saban. Once again, going back to Kevin Faulk. This is well known. He's hated because as a coach, he was terrible. Great recruiter, terrible coach.

Can Saban ever beat Tubby?

Will Bama ever win the state championship much less the national?

Dinardo's "stock" only went down with the LSU fan base because he wasted the talent and foundation he had built by hiring p-poor coordinators.

Here's my take:

They can't read in Bama so how in the hell would they know how many running backs we have?

Inexperienced QB.....Mauck was inexperienced at one time, so was Flynn....did aiiiiight there, didn't we?

About their six million national championships....of which only 6 are legit......Princeton at one time ruled the college football world as did Bama, so they say. That was the past, this is the present. The bear was a drunk and he's dead.

They are delusional in BAMA......they are counting championships before they even have a winning season BEFORE their bowl game. Now, can anyone really take them serious? I don't.

And then, to boot, they try to cheapen our 07 Crystal....that's funny in itself. Yeah we lost two games, but had theyre not been OT, who would be the only team in the country that was undefeated after the 07 season including BOWLS? Noone else can say that.

Typical Bama fan, living off what Saban did at LSU. Do you think he will win a Nat'l title at Alabama? How long will it take for the MNC and or SEC Title (IYO)?

I have no idea. Just look at last year, a lot of luck is involved with winning it all. Obviously you gotta have a good team too, but luck is a serious factor. He won't go winless against Auburn a la Mike Shula, that's all I'm saying.

If Saban stays at Bama and you don't think he turns us into a serious SEC contender in the next 2-3 years, I'd call you a retard.

Just because he may make Bama a bit better doesn't mean everyone else will drop off. If you think just because he is there problems are solved....well nevermind you can't possibly think that after his last year and a half on staff.

I think Skip said it best:
"He enjoys being the underdog where people think he's not a smart football coach, in reality, he's extraordinarily gifted as a
tactician. He's so underrated, it's hilarious!"

I wonder how many years it's gonna take before Bama & the SEC figure it out?

Dinardo left Saban over 20 players that played in the NFL. Dinardo's downfall was hiring Lou Tepper which sent our defense in the tank and then he refused to fire him. Had Dinardo fired Tepper he would have saved his job.

Kevin Faulk
Cecil Collins
Bradie James
Trev Faulk
Allen Faneca
Josh Reed (remember him)
Rohan Davey (remember him)
are just a few that were signed by Dinardo. He started to lock up the state. He also broke UF's SEC win streak that was in the 20's or 30's with an average margin of victory of 28 points. LSU was a preseason top 10 team in '98 which is when the wheels started to come off. He also beat Saban in the Bama Bowl in Saban's favorite city of Shreveport. Before Saban came to LSU he had a grand total of 0 bowl wins. Mark Emmert made a commitment to athletics and started upgrading facilities around the time Saban was hired. LSU was tired of losing and the administration made a commitment to winning and also pushed Joe Dean out the door. Saban also benefitted from one of the greatest years, talent-wise, in Louisiana history with the top 2 players being in Baton Rouge. Marcus Spears and Michael Clayton. Louisiana and LSU helped Saban just as much as he helped LSU and their is no denying that.

Saban wasn't much of a recruiter at Michigan State that team tanked when he left. "Saban's players" didn't fare to well up there.

These are the kind of retard comments that generate "those stupid Gumps" comments from the Rant.
Dinardo turned 6 years of losing into three straight years of bowl wins. He also recruited like a motherfricker. His marriage to Tepper is what killed him.

Because I tell the truth from what I personally witnessed? DiNardo was hated by Tiger fans when he got canned, I'm sure you yourself were probably happy to see him go. Now you guys talk about him like he's equally as responsible as Saban for turning LSU around, it's quite funny to me. I honestly liked Saban and thought he was a good coach when he was at LSU.
