When was the last time LSU and Bama played both outside the top ten??

Seeing #14 and #16 next to LSU-Bama matchup feels almost sad. Gotta be one of the lowest stakes games in a long time in this rivalry. Yes, both still have a shot at the playoffs on the line and whoever loses will officially have a disappointing season but dang. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to bulldoze em and put the nail in their coffin but man I’m used to at least 1 or 2 goliaths showing up to this game

I know it's the first time since 2006 that both teams have 2 losses entering the game.

Wtf? A playoff berth is riding on this game—at least the loser is definitely out and the winner is still in contention. In our case, we’d be in damn good shape with our remaining schedule if we beat the gumps.
This is in essence a playoff elimination game. This is one of the highest stakes games in the rivalry.
