I knew they'd score, probably with time running out. It's a scenario LSU fans are familiar with.

Here

We haven't stopped shite on defense the whole season. Why would I suspect anything else?

yeah, that 20 seconds with no timeouts would have guaranteed we drive down the field and score and go on to win the game.

Sure would have been nice to at least see what might have transpired.

Yea....last OM drive was money in the bank....turned off the tube when we kicked off and just sat there hoping it wouldn't happen.

i felt good that we'd get a stop on the first set of downs... Momentum was still there and they almost sacked him,

once they got that first 3rd i knew they'd at least line up for a fg

I thought we'd stop them and came within an eyelash of doing so a few times.

On the Wallace 3rd and 6 scramble, Ego got a hand on him in the backfield. If he would have just gotten enough to slow him down a little Hunter gets him. Wallace made the 1st by 1/2 a yd.

White should have picked a pass. Of course he also should have been called for holding.

On 3rd and long, Robinson was a split second late on breaking off of his coverage on Moncrief to stop the conversion to Logan.

We have so many problems on defense, but I do see a glimmer of light with the play of White, Robinson, Mills at times, Alexander at times, Hunter at times. And Louis in the 4th Q.

What I'm sick of is:
Welter getting abused and being a non factor.
Freak peacocking only to get manhandled for much of the game.
Martin missing tackles
Loston missing tackles
Barrow missing tackles

I must also say, for a guy in Chavis who is supposed to be a LB guru our LB's suck.
I'd love to see Beckwith get a legit chance. Hell, I'd love to see Riley get a legit chance.

yep, we shuda let them score with two minutes to go. Haslett did it and Sean Payton has done it. It's stupid just to give them all the clock that's left when you know you can't stop 'em

Had absolutely nothing to do with OM scoring.

And I knew OM was going to score ... it was just a matter of whether they got a TD or a FG, and how much time would remain (here's where we can blame the Les Miles clock management frick up).

Really?

I've learned to never discount that possibility.

I felt like the only way they weren't going to score was if they committed some completely unforced frick-up. It was all I was clinging to because as others have said, I felt absolutely sure we could not stop them.

Knew Ole Miss would score, figured it would be a TD. I was just hoping they would score quickly so LSU would have another shot to score, and have the ball last.

Everybody missing tackles. It's like we don't know how to tackle. Maybe we are afraid of contact. Maybe I can trip him by grabbing a shoe string.

when we got the ball back at 6 mins, I was hoping for another Florida 07 type drive because I knew we wouldn't stop em if they got the ball back with a decent amt of time (the UF drive took EIGHT mins, and we gave Tebow the ball with 1 min).

I was losing it that we weren't mixing in some running to bleed more clock.

I absolutely did. I was on vacation in the NC mountains. I was exhausted from hiking all day, so I was struggling watching the game. As soon as we scored with that much time left, I turned the TV off and fell asleep, frustrated that we didn't run the ball and bleed more clock.

I saw a similar game to yours, and agree with the rest of your analysis.

I refuse to have any faith in our defense given the staff's handling of the MLB position this season.

Given the past 2 seasons results in close games versus any team w a pulse, I truly hope we lead Bama by 2 scores w less than 4 minutes, or just get the living shite kicked out of us. Lol

Completely irrelevant.

This had no bearing on Ole Miss scoring to take the lead.

None.

My hope was that Ole Miss would make a series of unforced errors and self-inflicted wounds that would keep them from scoring.

However, well-coached and well-disciplined teams always give LSU fits, especially if that opposing team has a few players with talent.
