When Justin committed it made me realize the type of family they have and honestly appreciate Jordan a bit more.

Exactly. I was surprised Ricky and Justin didn’t say eff off and go somewhere else based on how their brother was treated by fans

I met Jordan after the UGA game in 2018 on the field and I can honestly say I have the utmost respect for him. He could’ve been extremely bitter towards LSU for how he was treated by some fans but he was a joy to talk to. I remember him telling me that day, “My brother the next great. He’s the next great WR at LSU.”

Little did we know his success in college would translate so well to the league. He’s a joy to watch and a true ambassador for LSU.

The apprehension against him really wasnt due to anything having to do with Rickey or Jordan and more to do with his lack of overall hype and stars.

He was a grade risk as well. He didn’t get eligible until right before his freshman season.

Oh I don't know, maybe the part where you said "I think Jordan is his cousin"

Jordan Jefferson was much better than some of the fans give him credit.

He gets bad pub from championship game but ironically the play that always comes to mind first for me was that like 99 yard run from the goal line against TN.

after the hate JJ got here.

I don't think it was personal. He just wasn't a good player and Miles made him even worse.

I can remember the day they offered him thinking now if we could just pick up a QB from Ohio State and a passing coordinator from the Saints, we’d be unstoppable.

Thought the same but thought we needed one more great receiver from Rummel and a rb from Catholic, ha.

Jarrett Lee was not any better than Jordan Jefferson.

Both of them were about the same, but JJ’s mobility made him a little bit better than Lee, in my opinion. I remember JJ played great against Bama in 2010, and in the Game of the Century game in 2011. Lee also played pretty good against Bama in 2010. Had a huge pass play on 3rd and long late in the game. 1/9/12, it didn’t really matter who the QB was, we were going to lose, because of an incompetent coaching staff.

If I remember correctly, JJ also played extremely well in the Cotton Bowl against A&M. Neither one could stay consistent though for more than a few games, but that had more to do with the lack of development from our idiotic coaching staff at the time.

They are all brothers man.. This is like thinking Kim mulkey is Kramers Aunt and Herman Johnson is the second largest baby in LA.

Jordans attitude is the only thing that bothered me.

At the time maybe. But with hindsight, i’d gladly take that sour look on sidelines over these fools shopping themselves around every year on a transfer portal.

I don’t think there will ever be another Justin Jefferson, who absolutely flew under the radar and surprised everyone.

Josh Reed and Devery Henderson flew under the radar as well but I’m not sure how highly touted they were. They were signed to play as RBs but became WRs, so they were completely off the radar.

Devery Henderson, wearing 26, was in the backfield and took a handoff on fourth and short against Florida and 2001 and was stopped. Little did I know he would hold the distinction of winning a National Championship at LSU and a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints, and play a major role of leading both teams to those titles.

Justin was a part of the lightning in a bottle for 2019

Itd be nice if LSU fans wouldn’t contribute to this type of BS & leave it for the Aggies, Rebels, Hogs & other jealous fan bases that haven't EVER won anything.

We (LSU fans) should know that 2019 wasn't some fukn anomaly or GD aberration for LSU for gods sake!!! Winning 3 NCs in 18 years with 3 different HCs doesn't equate to “Lightning in a Bottle”

I believe Jordan was a NFL TE. That size and speed is lethal and cannot be taught.

Ricky was a stud at safety. I can't believe he didn't make it in the NFL. It shows you how tough it truly is to make it at that level.

I remember Shea Dixon on Moscona’s show when Jefferson signed really hyping him up. He basically said two things:

1- Jefferson was always LSU

2- He wasn’t necessarily a diamond in the rough, everyone knew how good he was, but he was a grade risk. Nobody expected him to be eligible, and for that reason he fell down boards. Shea said if he had been eligible, he would have been very high on the 247 WR board

That recruiting cycle LSU lost a commitment from Jhamon Ausbon who flipped to the Aggies and at one point thought there was a real chance to get Devonta Smith. Jefferson was thought by many (not all) to be a legacy recruit only because we missed those two.

Mannie Netherly ended up getting the most hype

I give Netherly credit for playing DB late in the season when we were down CBs for the bowl game I believe. He unfortunately did not make much impact at WR.
