It took a second to realize where "Louisiana State" is. But Dinardo thought the block letters would provide better exposure on a TV screen. I disagree with that, and apparently Saban did too.

Many, many years ago TS was absolutely beautiful on a Saturday night as one end zone was set apart for LSU, in purple and gold, while the other end zone was set apart for the opponent in their respective colors...it was really a sight to behold...

why did you say +1 when saban didnt coach that game?

Because Dinardo coached 97 Florida/LSU and it was LSU at midfield, not the eye.

oh right. sorry i misread.

Hallman was ten times the coach Dinardo was. Look at the talent level when Hallman took over. Other than Kinchen, they had Vandy/Kentucky level talent. Dinardo had some decent talent when he arrived and eventually dumbed himself out of a job.

ok fricking clown then why did hallmans worthless arse get canned from a highschool team?

hallman was fricking garbage rantard

Holy Crap

You do realize that Hallman's last coaching gig was four losing seasons at Muscle Shoals High School dont you?

Dinardo inherited absolute crap, and turned it into a respectable program. Not great but respectable.

exactly dinardo gets a shitty rap. He made a mistake in staying with lou. Im glad he fricked up bc that lead to saban and miles but Dinardo at least made us some what respectable again.

hallman mean while never had a winning season and then got fired from a highschool. I could out coach curly

I dont doubt you, however most folks on the rant know about 1/5th of what even a guy like Curly brings. This includes me, but I am gonna go 1/3 for my self.

+1
It worked out in the end for LSU, Dinardo was a good guy but I dont think he ever wouldve gotten the team over the hump, even if he had fired Tepper

Dinardo changed the field from the large block letter endzones to the one in the pic. Saban brought the eye back. The Geaux font came into existence in 2003 with toonces. Of course it all runs together...and I also remember being excited about the Indy bowl.

Dinardo did have the 97 Florida game, Bring back the magic against Auburn and some other pretty good ones. The only good game I can recall from Hallman is the Pigs Fly game against Bama.

Dinardo pulled out all stops when hired in recruiting Kevin Faulk. I'd say that was the first step to the resurgence of the program.

i agree that dinardo was a turning point for the program. he was a good coach just made poor coaching personell choices. but i think we would of never been a top team with him. probably just a trip to the sec game every now and then

I never ever said Hallman was a good coach. But, compared to Dinardo... come on silly rabbit. He had better won loss records, but if you look at the schedule and who he beat, Dinardo only had a maybe three quality wins. Hallman inherited a talentless team and did an average job. Dinardo inherited a mid to good talent team and completely failed when it came to beating good teams (other than Florida in '97)and that was largely Carl Reese's defense scheme. In the end every coach, player and fan in the stadium know what play he was running. And the defense was a complete joke.

Look at the talent of Hallman vs. Dinardo.
Look at the strenght of schedule of Hallman vs. Dinardo.

If you can't see it, I can't help you.

hallman failed as a high school coach. all the talent in the world couldnt save that assclown.

dinardo got us more talent and had 3 good years. He made a huge mistake in keeping lou around. Im glad he did that though as it lead to saban and a national title.
