This is crazy talk. He has surrounded himself with great assistants. All he has to do now is stay out of the way.

It's all about the co ordinaters really and the schedule.

Our schedule sucks but we got the first part right I think.

You angry that he made the point that any disinterested, reasonable observer has already made, questioning the value of a HC that essentially does nothing but let this coordinators run football strategy?

A lot of you are delusional. Everyone doesn't hate LSU. Outside of SEC country, most people are indifferent. Dismissing criticism as hate is just lazy.

He already has won, and that took us to the biggest bowl game in years, which he also won.

We had an opportunity to get to a bigger bowl though.

We fired Les Miles to start with and we should have but Les was one of the only few that had the NC ring

Those in shallow water see LSU as a train wreck and are not paying attention

This Freshman class is just the beginning of what CEO will build

I agree with each one of you that the respect Nick has is earned respect

CEO and the Tigers will have to do the same

Geaux Tigers !

No, he's telling you people are tired of hearing this shite. It's over. He'll either succeed or he won't. Until then, shut the frick up and move on!

Not surprised at their reaction.
The Orgeron hire makes no sense to the objective observer.
BUT, this stuff could serve as YUUUGE motivation for the Tigers and DaCoachO.

It wont stop until Coach Oeaux shows the world that this LSU team comes to play games in a much different manner.

Until he does that, and until he beats Bama, this is what you will see.

I agreed with the CEO hire and I would have done just about what Joe did.

I couldn't get #1 and he played us for a raise

I couldn't get #2 and he played us to get Texas

I had a solid LSU man who sold me on what he planned to do

I got my DC nailed dow and I got my new OC nailed down

They are both top 12 guys and CEO is high energy top recruiter in the country

I am happy - now put it on the field

Those of you that don't like CEO have no clue who you would have been able to got to LSU

Let it go and move on into this season

Most of the rest of the world didn't have Coach Miles record in the sec west while fighting sec management and being disrespected by some of the stupidest fans !

Yea, 15-11 is god status in the SEC the last 3+ years.

....if we don't win 10 this year and win the SEC the next, the hiring of O was the wrong move. If you don't improve on Miles' success, the hire was a fail. Davis is correct. Who hires a head coach that is third in line, at best, on the coaching staff? More directly, someone name any school in the SEC, ACC or Big 10 that would have hired O as their head coach? He's widely considered to be Ole Miss' worst coach in the history of their program. This is one of the least successful programs historically in the country. I hope O succeeds because that means LSU succeeds. However, if you don't view this hire skeptically, you are not very intelligent, or are at least viewing with purple glasses on.

Saint Tiger 225, elleshu, delta doc
What purpose does it serve to criticize your coach before he's coached his first game with HIS team? How would you feel if someone condemned you before you started your new job? Would you not appreciate those who gave you a chance? Or remember those who didn't? Other than Cutcliffe (with Eli), who was successful at Ole Mediocrity? Give me an answer; I suppose you'll answer Freeze. Judging someone harshly who fails at a place where everybody fails is completely unreasonable. At least he tried. That's tantamount to blaming a surgeon's failure when trying to save someone's life when the odds were strongly negative. At least he tried, but I realize that we are now a generation of second guessers- and you are leading the way. Since you feel that O supporters are "not very intelligent" and you certainly seem expert on the coaching selection choices, then may I ask you Geniuses what coach would you have selected? And lastly, you lose your remaining credibility by quoting a Bama grad employed by ESPN in his (surprise) negative diatribe against LSU and personal attack on O.
I hope your season is not ruined by O's success.

Well "no clue" is an exaggeration. No one knows for sure but we can make reasonable guesses.

There are a number of coaches at smaller programs that would've loved the opportunity to coach at LSU. There's no fewer than 10 such coaches and they all have resumes better than Orgeron.

And Orgeron an LSU man?

This is the guy that transferred from LSU as a player, had at least two opportunities to join LSU's coaching staff and opted for Tennessee and then USC, only picked LSU when he had no other options, but he's an LSU man. Ok.
