My point was that if you don’t want to spend a lot more money, you need to identify good coaches before there’s a market for them among big programs.

I think Most of the big names are going to end up spending at least 5 million for a quality coach that has shown anything at even a middle level.

We paid O 3.5 million and he had 0 other offers and was basically begging everyone he could for a second chance st being a HC

Agreed. LSU was prepared to pay that and some more. So whether they wanted to go for a more guaranteed hire with more risk from a smaller program, or possibly have to compete with other P5 schools for a successful middle program coach is irrelevant. Alleva did neither.

Please note that a certified good coach Tommy Tuberville went just over 500 and David Cutcliffe's record is way worse without Eli and he was 4-7 his last year. Now I know for a fact that 4-7 would be considered the ditch at LSU.

Ole miss had one year of semi glory in Cutcliffe's tenure every other year was 5th 4th in the west. That's not good at all. Tuberville is one of the best coaches from that era and barely had a winning record. Plus he hauled arse as soon as he could.

Yet they all had twice as many wins with almost the identical amount of losses.

What’s better

3-8

7-4

O couldn’t make it to middle of the road

Tubberville was 5 games over .500

O was 15 below.

We’re they amazing at Ole Miss? No. Which is why O doing soooooooo much worse is so bad.

Yaw Yaw is the byproduct of a dumb arse AD who hired the likes of Ted Roof and Carl Torbush as HCs at Duke.

Also, a moron group of BOS members lead by Scott Ballard.

I would say so far yes.

Hasn’t improved the record

Brings nothing to either side of the ball.

Sub par first season.

Losing records vs teams over .500.

He’s recruited well.

Obviously it’s early.

But good is relative and 9-4 at LSU hasn’t been good since like 2003

He needs to take a big step forward this year.

The offense needs to be very good.

Idk besides beating Auburn what’s getting your rocks off from year 1?

You're a looney. Miles did 9-4 or worse 4 times and was well on his way to doing worse in 2015.

But for real football to most programs except Alabama there is a cycle Of up-and-down.

You are the biggest clown and hypocrite around. No one on this board is a bigger whiny bitch than you.

You bitched non stop for years and in any thread Miles related even if it wasn't football.

Having you now get all prissy at others for doing the exact same shite you did for years is hilarious.

4 out of 11 is hardly half. 2015 would have been a 10 win season if the McNeese game wouldn't have been cancelled. So, it's more like 3 out of 11 which is more like a quarter of the time. Let's not get too silly.

Eta: And let's not forget that he was fired for it as well.
