WHEN HE WINS A DAMN CHAMPIONSHIP dude hasn't proven shite as a full-time college HC except shitting the bed badly at Ole Miss and discouraging the college football world so badly that he didn't even generate an offer from Syracuse of all places

For what?

Why would anyone give him anything he hasn’t earned yet.

When will the O lovers see him for what he is?

Loss 1?
Loss 2?
Loss 3?
Loss 4?
Loss 5?

In reference to Johnny Jones you said
quote:

Fans don't have to support a clearly bad coach. That's just enabling the status quo.

It's about wins and losses. Supporting or not, losses and downward direction of program accounted for Jones' firing. Same will be true if O does not perform.

The extremes on both sides (haters v pampers) repeat the same thing over and over and bitch about the other side repeating the same things over and over.

When you and posters like you quit acting like bitches. When y'all are interested in having an objective discussion, you'll get one. Until then, expect a lot of shite for wanting a statue built of the guy for having the type of record that got Miles fired

Like that time Miles had a top 5 class days before signing day only to lose some of his best commitments. He's doing well at this point. There's a long way to go. Like signing the players and getting them on the field and beating Alabama every now and then.

When he actually signs these guys and shows that he can actually win more than Miles.

Not really. His three classes were ranked 32, 15 and 17, respectively.

What was Ol Miss’s average recruiting ranking prior to O? I’d guess 15 &17 were very good for Ol Miss standards.

Those classes probably should have been good enough to win, idk 5 games at any point in Os tenure.

It was. The three classes before that were in the mid 30's. As I said I think O is a good recruiter. It is his passion. I don't know this to be true, but sometimes I wonder if because of that he focuses on recruiting to the detriment of other aspects of his job.

No it wasn’t , but I doubt Edward could have gotten an interview there.

re: When are the O haters going to start giving CEO some props?
He just doesn’t know th Xs and Os enough.

He was his own DC at Ole Miss, a position he had never performed before.

He also was shite at hiring OCs and got up in their business.

He’s a better coach by default just not fricking up Arand’a defense.

Edit: for what he was wanting to spend, he could’ve then turned to the “up and comer” class of coaches, but his pride wouldn’t let him.

Alleva has a definitive history of caving under pressure and opting for the easy way out. His pride has nothing to do with it. He performed as should have been expected.

There is no question that his players and teams were better than Nutts

Nutt took the players O couldn’t go .500 with, and took them to two straight Cotton Bowl’s.

Do you think coaching wise O is going to elevate our team?

If all he can do is bring in talent and hope they somehow beat Alabama then he isn’t a good coach.

re: When are the O haters going to start giving CEO some props?
He needs to win the games he should and win enough. That is test 1. Test 2 is winning a division/SEC championship. Test 3 is the ultimate. Last year he did some of test 1 but missed badly in two games. Not yet come close to 2 and 3. Chapter and book yet to be completed.

And for the record I don't give a chiite what he did or did not do at Ole Miss a over a decade a go. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and it is all in the here and now and nothing less.

He doesn't know any other aspect of the job. Recruiting, motivation, same skill set.

And that's not a fatal flaw in of itself, so long as the coach is self-aware and hires coaches to fill in his blind spots. Orgeron hires friends and/or people that won't threaten his status. That's a problem.

Ppl are giving him credit. The staff is mopping up on the recruiting trail. Let’s see what happens as the season unfolds and how the team develops.
