When and Why did you become an LSU Tiger?

I'm currently a second generation LSU student, my parents actually had me while Dad was still in college (enrolled when he was about 23; spent four years in the Navy). So throughout my childhood I'd be dressed various in LSU baby clothes, kid clothes, and jerseys, so I was pretty much bred a Tiger.
Earliest memories of LSU sports include Dad having the 1997 Florida game on tape (and by tape I mean recorded with a camcorder) that I loved watching. I want to say my first LSU game was the 2001 Auburn game, where I had a perfect view of Auburn kicker Damon Duval getting shoved around by the band
. I also remember telling my pissed off dad to wait because we still had time left at the end of the 2002 Kentucky game. The coolest thing in the world as a kid was having some Lake Charles players (including Justin Vincent) of the 2003 National Championship team visiting my fifth grade class.

2005. Scholarship offer, visited and fell in love with the school and the atmosphere. Chose LSU over A&M and Okie Lite. Wanted to be a vet... that lasted about a semester.

My brother was a student and took me to some football games in the student section. I was about 15. I don't really remember whether or not I really cared before, but there was never a doubt after experiencing it myself.
ETA: congrats on 10k

When I went to school in 1995. My first game in tiger stadium was the "Bring back the Magic" game against Auburn. Never gave a shite about LSU before that. Fan for life after.

I'd say since birth. I have zero memories of not loving LSU.

When Andrew Whitworth signed with LSU, I became a huge fan. I always rooted for them but didn't watch every game and probably couldn't tell you more than 2 guys on the team. Growing up in West Monroe, he was the talk of the town. He was a few years older than me and everyone knew he was going to be something one day. I kinda always looked up to him lol. So it wasn't until junior high or early high school for me.

November 2005, when after applying and getting accepted to LSU I stepped on campus.
I had left TX when I was 11 to move to Connecticut; hated CT. My goal was a big state school in the south with good football. Within 15 minutes of walking through the oaks I looked to my mother and said "Mom, I feel like I'm home again."
Bought my LSU hat and 8 years later I'm still living in LA.

Spring 2008
I was a huge Tennessee fan prior. I was born in Nashville and my dad's side of the family is from there. I grew up going Nashville for Thanksgiving and have a huge affinity for the state. My brother went there, went to a lot of games, visited on multiple occasions, and was set to go.
It all came undone when they didn't accept me.
My aunt used to live in New Orleans for 30 years, so me and my brother would always go down during the summer when we were growing up. I got a scholarship from LSU and one of my really good friends was going to LSU so I decided why not.
Greatest decision of my life thus far.

Since I was born
My parents went to LSU, and had season tickets. I was honestly too young to remember my first game, not even sure what game it was to be honest.
And here I am now, in my 2nd year at LSU
