Whats up with Yvette Girouard?

She blocks a transfer of a player wanting to come to Lafayette to play softball? That seems a little weird since we've had players transfer in and out before. Courtney Hollier is trying to transfer to become a Cajun and Yvette is having none of it. Hollier is going to meet with Alleva to try to get her release to play right away.

Girouard will probably release her but with the condition that it is to any school that is not in the SEC and not ULL.

The coach is well within her rights. The kid made a 4 year commitment to play here. She can't expect to just jump ship right in the middle and get a free pass to go somewhere else.
I would be curious to know the behind the scenes doings on this one. YG spent a lot of time last year praising Hollier and her work ethic, calling her one of the great "stories" of her coaching career. Wonder why the kid left...

True...but Soto went there a couple of years ago, didn't sit out a year, then helped them kick our arse in the regional. YG doesn't want to see that happen again, and I don't blame her.
