I will say that I think the players look like total douchebags wearing these massive chains out there. I can understand a smaller sized one maybe but some of these I see are out of control.

You don't see that in any other sport.

A huge portion of football players where some sort of chain or necklace when they play these days, this has been a thing for a very long time

I mean shite they’ve had multiple NFL players get their chain snatched off by a defender.

Lighten up grandpa, they throw a hard ball around in a field, it’s not that serious

You may be showing your age a bit. But I agree with it being more prominent now than years past. I think the necklace thing has been big for a few years now, but the size and length of chain has increased. And the medallion/cross/whatever has certainly gotten larger. I do agree with you that I do not like seeing so much flash and that it could be a distraction for a player. But if it isn't; who cares what they wear. The prolific showing of sleeve tatoos is what gets me going! Now I'm showing my age! Ha Ha!

shee-it! back in the 70s players wouldn't be able to get through a metal detector to approach the batter's box if they didn't remove the bling

Next thing you know our players will be singing chants across the field like a softball team.

Nah, most guys have distinct musical lanes, would never agree to chants, much less outside their wheel house. You do post some weird arse shite.

Uniformity and discipline are both very important parts of building team culture and championships.

Y’all will laugh at this statement, but I think CPM allowing facial hair for the first time last season was a turning point in his career. He started bending to what his players wanted instead of maintaining discipline.

true, and ignore the down voters.

According to the teenagers on this board, any player should be allowed to have a ZZ Top beard, pink hair, and wear gold chains like Mr. T.

That’s two 80’s references, before most posters were even born.

So we need less of a focus on hitting, pitching, and fielding and more of a focus on enforcing accessory regulations.

no discipline, just let players do whatever they want.

How do I know you don’t have kids.

LSU Teams wore jewelry in late 80’s/90’s but just didn’t display them like players do now. They wore them under their jersey. I’d rather baseball jewelry being displayed than having to see tattoos up/down arms and neck. ???????
