Paz, Cowan and Schmidt all proved to be effective in their starting roles. And Guidry proved to be a lot better in relief than I expected. Maybe it'll continue, but Athens Georgia may prove a challenging site for an audition.

You would think UGA would recruit left handed starters, given their ballpark. Maybe they tried, but all of their starters are right handed, which means we will probably put as many lefties in the lineup as we can, to take advantage of the short left field porch. I think Patrick, Cerna, and Arrambide will be the only right handers in the lineup.

To be fair, we just started 3 RHP this past weekend too, and expect we will do same this weekend. So expect UGA to also load up lineup with LHH.

Like Tennessee, they play to their park well. Often see RHH lifting ball opposite way. Going to be a tall task for the Tigers.

This is how I feel

Especially after literally everyone on the team getting their chance. Go try to hit the ball 500 feet young man.

If we play like we did against SC next week, it's baseball we could win 2, or we could get swept. Georgia could frick up. We may have Evans out of the pen for this week, which would help.

Hoping we can hit some dingers with the power we have. Will need pitching and defense to be great.

Man, you really have this baseball shite figured out

So you’re telling me we need to hit well, pitch well, and play good defense to win? No way?!

The short porch is in RF, not LF.

LF is the inverse, very deep by college standards.

No he just needs 316 ft. He has been trying to hit it 500ft all season and hasn't been successful

UGA pitching doesn't scare me as much as their offense in that park
Best case scenario would be 2/3 and that makes it a lot easier for Fla series
1/3 means a lot of heavy lifting against Florida and more work in the SEC tourney

Tennessee has a 30ish RPI but only 11 conference wins. With TX and OK looming, does 13 wins likely get them in or do they need 14 to clinch the deal? Or is it 13 with a

win or two in Hoover? Thanks, guys.

Interesting from Kendall in today's D1 Baseball chat about 13 wins, it might not be enough

I think you really want to win one of those final two series to feel safe. For instance, I know for a fact that last year many committee members REALLY did not want to put in an SEC team with 13 wins. With that said, it wasn't that long ago that Alabama made the field with only 12 SEC wins, so every committee is a little different.

We obviously don't have the resume to get in with 13 wins. The quad 4 losses are loud

Why do you care tho? Didn't u quit on the season in April to follow the golf team?

It really depends on the quality of those wins. Both Florida and Georgia have lofty RPIs. For LSU to win 13 games it would require winning 4 of their final 6 conference games, against two elite teams. That possibly could get LSU regardless of what they do in the SEC tourney. Last but not least, do not underestimate the value of the letters L-S-U on the front of the uniforms.

LSU made it in with 13 in 2021, then after a quick SEC exit went on to take out Oregon in their own regional. They also got in in 2024 with 13.

We’ve hit the ball well the last two series. They have confidence. I said earlier this year if you can’t bunt it you’re not seeing it. Now they’re mixing in small ball to manufacture runs. Hats off to the freshmen, they are creating next years core to build on. Geaux Tigers they can play with anyone if they keep this up!

Oh ok, then that guy his his left/right mixed up

I’m not familiar with Georgia’s field so that’s why I was asking

Yes, he was mistaken/drunk.

Georgia’s left field porch is deep.
Georgia’s right field porch is short.

If the pitching can perform the way it did this weekend we should have a good chance

It’s a shame the players we pitch to will

50/50. They will or they won’t. Luckily it’s just baseball and not football, so it doesn’t really matter to me.
