We're talking 2020 Max or 2021 Max? Because 2020 Max looked like he was progressing every game. 2021 Max was ok outside of a few games.
Ensminger knew what he was doing.

I don't know why he left, but my guess is he didn't want to deal with a new staff and many fans that did not support him. I don't think he and his family needed nil money. I'm sure his dad made many millions$$$$

With as quick as it happened, it made me think Daddy already had an opinion of CBK.
ETA and with A&M throwing money around for everyone it was probably a pretty simple process of "take Max and you'll get Jake".

Brother was 5* and got the NIL $
Brennan is the loss I’m disappointed in. In my uninformed opinion, that’s probably on him and his injury. It just seemed like he lost his fire.

Max announced he was gone pretty early after Kelly was hired, right? Did he actually meet with the new coach?
Kelly arrived in BR on Nov 30th, Max was in the portal on Dec 8th. Other than that, I do not know.

I wish Brennan had stayed. It did seem he was maybe going through the motions a bit in the spring game but he still looked like the best passer to me. Always had great form, as well as touch or zip as required. I thought he would be the starter, honestly.

He was caught in the mens bathroom at Fred’s wearing women's underwear.

I'm trying to see the upside of JD over Max.
The upside is Daniels wants to be here, Johnson doesn't and his Dad wanted to run the show.

This is kinda where I’ve always been with it. Not to say I don’t think the NIL money may have factored in, but I think Max wanted a change of scenery.

In throwing the football, Max Johnson looked like "Drew Brees in his Prime" in comparison to Jaydenjenningsfournette.
What a waste of talent (WR's) it's been so far.
There's still some games left for "Square Peg-Round Peg" BK and MD to see the light and do what needs to be done........

Guess everyone forgets Max singlehanded losing the Bama game last year. Max was either bad or average, I don’t believe we would be better off with him. He was terrible in the games he started for A&M this year

The real question is how is Myles Brennan not our starting QB?
Posted on 10/15/22 at 7:50 am to LaSurveyor
Yeah because Aggie has such a great offensive scheme with Jimbo.

If 27 touchdowns is average (not saying it isn't) then what the hell is Daniels?

The johnson brothers were determined to play together and Jake got crazy NIL money in a year LSU fired their coach.
Max Johnson would be horrific on this team.

Max was completing 60.6% of his passes and 3 TDs with no interceptions

We already have horrific, so it damn sure wouldn't be any worse.

I think we already see Nuss doing that. He was very good against NM, then again against Auburn
WTF

hands down a better QB than Daniels
No he wasn't, even though Daniels isn't any great shakes.
Johnson is again riding the pine at Aggy after a couple of failed starts. He was terrible last year against any team with a pulse. Heck he nearly lost to ULM!

Johnson has a broken hand, is the only reason that king is starting.
