Seems like some crazy coaching stuff going on today... pull a pitcher after 1 pitch, Doughty bunting, Stevenson in for Dugas?????

Pretty sure Dugas was pulled bc he hurt himself when running into the wall

I'd imagine Dutton was planned, in order to try get the Ole Miss lineup a certain way in order for Hasty to have better success. It's a bit Busch league if you ask me. I'm just guessing that's the reasoning.
Dugas getting pulled probably means he was hurt smashing into the wall.
Doughty bunting, especially with one out, is the real head scratcher. Don't like it, don't agree with it.

I think he did that himself trying to bunt for a hit. Wasn’t called. Just a bad bunt.

of course it was. Doughty knows he is in a terrible slump and the team needs him badly. He is just trying to get on base. No coach anywhere, anytime calls for a bunt with one out.

Just a week ago this place was over the moon about him. He’s doing the best with what he has. What do you want him to do?
He can’t just manifest a new SS, starting rotation, and serviceable backup catcher in the middle of the season.

I wish more of our fans understood the hand that JJ was dealt. No reliable starting pitching, much less elite starting pitching. No SS on the roster. Our only catcher worth anything behind the plate has been hurt most of the season.
How does any coach win without the 3 primary, most important pieces in building a team???? The man has won one more SEC game than Paul did and Paul had 2 significantly better starting pitchers than JJ does.
JJ has signed the best class in the nation. Give him a few years and then let’s revisit if we have/don’t have the right coach.

Better hope the players are so good they can makeup for him. Our fans may want to deny it but the other SEC coaches know he’s nothing to worry about.

We have a very large sample size with Doughty to know that he can hit the baseball. One bad weekend doesn't mean you stop swinging the bat.

You are just going to ride this train to hope you can keep yourself from looking like an absolute fool.
You can pound your chest all you want about Bianco winning this weekend, but one team is very much underachieving, and the other is overachieving.

I didn't get the 1 pitch outing out of Dutton but he must have had a plan in place that told him to do so. I will not question that decision. Hasty looked really good through 4 innings. If not for McManus he prolly pitches the 5th
