If it werent bregman, katz, or rhymes up there, he wouldve bunted. Cant believe some of yall saying he never bunts. Apparently yall didnt watch in the regular season, he bunted plenty

Should be about 90%.

If he can't bunt our coaches have done a terrible job preparing him for the future. A singles type hitter should know how to bunt.

not when it matters. you take the bat out of your double play machine when you need a run in the 9th inning. he did this same crap in the SEC Tourney and let Rhymes hit into 3 freakin' double plays in one game. We lucked out and won that game.

It doesn't matter which batter it is. When you are down one run and your leadoff guy gets off in the 9th, you lay down a freakin' bunt and give your next two guys a shot to tie the game. Frick, it would've been better to have Raph Rhymes stand at the plate without a bat at all. As soon as he swung away it was a guaranteed double play.

and yes, i watched the regular season. which is why i know that Raph Rhymes has hit into more double plays than the Houston Astros and has laid down ZERO successful bunts. Why is that? How can that possibly be? Because our coach's philosophy is to swing away no matter what instead of playing smart baseball.

A sac bunt should have a high probability of success if your players have been coached properly. Bunting is much easier than hitting.

Skip had an automatic double play machine batting for him? Skip was far more strategic than Marinara Sauce could ever dream of being. There is a 0% chance that Skip let's Rhymes swing away on that pitch.

Last night, the only guy I'd let swing away is Katz. Bregman and Rhymes looked lost at the plate last night. In a one run game, bottom of the ninth, you play the percentages, especially when your team has been swinging at bad pitches all night.

It doesn't matter, with 2-0 count and raph up with the tying run on first you either bunt or you take. You sure as shite don't let raph swing away. Period
