re: What’s the feeling on the net effect of all of the defensive hires?

Seriously. Pelini was so damn pitiful. Probably the worst coaching job I’ve ever seen. It was clear as day the defense didn’t want to play for him, especially early in the season. I’m excited about the new hires.

anyone who doesn’t think we’re stacked with coaching talent on both sides of the ball, is...not to be rude...dumb. We’re elite.
next two years will be fun!

He can speak from a position of recent NFL experience and knows the level of work you must put in, to not only play in the NFL but excel in it.
The program has to get out of this "Prepare for the NFL" mentality and transition to "SEC Championship" mentality.

I'm happy that we're trying to find up-and-comming types. The downside of that is that it's always a risk. So the net effect is wait and see.

Moderate risk with a lot of upside. The risk is that these new hire's lack experience in their position. But the potential is definitely there. On offense you get guys who have the right experience in the Brady system that worked well. On defense, a coordinator with a lot of potential surrounded by some quality support staff. Overall, I love the direction. I feel like a nice balance is in place that could be a great mix of youth and experience. It's not just who they hired, but it feels like the characters fit well. The chemistry potential is there and I look forward to seeing how it translates to recruiting and championships. O definitely grabbed the situation and changed more than just the coaches. I'm buying.

Bro, the only issue that o may have is off the field, and thats a long shot too.
Lol at you for living in the tiger rant fantasy factory and for thinking orgerons seats even warm.
This place is like the far left with this "we sniff our own farts because rich folks farts smell good" elitist attitude .
Plus the far right for there "everythings a conspiracy theor," just cause they are fun to play with.
Maybe were the far south at lsu
Edit: just because the tiger rant starts seriously talking that we may try to fire orgeron, aka " the machine that is baw" ,with or without cause, doesn't mean rational people, that are paid to make these life altering decisions, are going to fire a coach that's 30-8 with 8 top ten wins in 3 years

My feeling is that I’m glad nobody was keeping tabs on my boss when he “took a flyer” on me 24 years ago. I’m sure the general consensus would have been, “WTF we’re you thinking Dude?” Just for the record, it has worked out very well for both of us. Hindsight is 20/20, right?

I like it on the surface and always optimistic about new hires and hope for the best. My biggest worry is a “too many cooks in the kitchen” effect.
