Why?

Because you don't want a reliever facing a situation where he can give up the tying hit in an inning that you started with a 4 run inning. If Broussard get put in with the score 4-0 and one guy on, he can make one mistake and still easily close the game out. The situation he was put in tonight gave him very little room for error

To pull your pitcher who's thrown over 100 pitches and just got a bad break (bloop single).

Now he's discouraged in addition to tired arm. By the time Broussard got in it was a stressful situation.

That it hurts your chances of winning when you walk the leadoff guy, misplay balls in the field, miss the cutoff man, allowing a runner to take an extra base and throw to second when you have a chance to nail a runner at the plate. Did I miss anything?

ETA: And how is that a lesson learned, Foster's arm didn't do anything today.

If PM was as smart as the coaches/psychiatrists in the game thread, he would have put Foster in right for the throw home.

That imploding is contagious - it spread from pitching to fielding and our whole team contributed.

That all those times we run ourselves off the base paths and lose possible runs can come back to bite us even with a 4 run lead.

That those Aggie cheers in the student section can get really annoying, though when they kept shouting 'Joe', it sounded like 'Go', so it was easier to deal with.

That Jared Foster is the man!

Didn't Nola walk the leadoff guy in the 9th? I would have pulled him after that.

Nola should not have come out for the 9th. Broussard and/or Cune. Definately should have pulled him after 1st batter.
