He's about one or two vegemite sandwiches away from consistently rocketing 60 yard missiles over the heads of the return team.

He's struggling to put his foot on the ball. a minimal amount of pressure kills him. And when there is no pressur, a big percentage of the time he'll mishit it anyway.

Not to throw the guy under the bus, but any one that goes to games early enough to watch the specialists warm-up pregame knows this. He'll rocket a few, shank some into the sidelines, some are just eh.

With no rush.

This is sort of the same thing for QB's during warm-ups. If you can;t make the throws with no pressure and to receivers running downfield uncovered, you're not going to do it suddenly in games. If you can't consistently boom punts with no pressure, then it's not suddenly going to happen under game conditions.

Wtf, how can he not be ready, he's been kicking a ball all of his life! What kind of players are BDP recruiting. Cam gamble can hit the roof of the practice facility, yet he can see the field on kickoffs.

How is it we have 3 kikers on scholarship with a preferred walk-on who is better than all of them, but we can't find another punter? Les sucks at recognizing talent in QB's and Punters. Our sprecial teams are just not good.

The distance and the hang time are both weak.

Maybe a player from LSU (Women) Soccer team can punt consistently better?

Can't believe that some kid from Louisiana is just as good or better. Local boys deserve a shot

He's been weak from day 1. He used to at least be able to do OK in dropping it within the 20 yard line when punting from mid field or so, but now he cant even do that. I can't recall ever his getting off a boomer or a punt with impressive hang time. His long punts usually are the result of the receiver failing to field the ball and he gets a lucky bounce of 10 to 15 yards. And why does Les stick with him. He (Les) yanks a runner who fumbles once for multiple games; yanked the field goal kicker last year when he missed 1 or 2 f/g's he shoulda made; but doesn't try another punter. If I'm not mistaken, Kheene was 2nd team SEC punter this year, wasn't he! Used to be a strong part of our overall success when Brad Wing was there. Anyway, mostly venting, like others.

Doesn't negate the fact he is severely under performing. He is hurting his teammates.

Before getting out the pitchforks and torches on one player, let's remember that Keehn's failures are contemporaneous with declining performance on all special teams.
Someone help me, but I cannot remember such poor ST play in a very long time and it seems to have begun last season...

He's been playing like garbage. Wasn't his average somewhere around 37yds/punt last week?

I'd take a guy who can hit it high and 42 yards right now. That would be a major improvement.

Someone who does that consistently is in the NFL.
